    Aether / Primal Difference ?

I was sondering whats the difference between Aether and Primal Danta Center? Some one told me that the star next to data center means that all server there are for new players and tho will have lower population. So that mean all server on Primal will have more population. Im kind of confused here.

the star you speak of doesn't mean that. for the world yes, for the data center, it means that is the data center you have selected previously.

for the world, if there is a start next to it, it means that new characters that join will have a helpful buff to level up quicker than usual for joining a low populated server.

Aether has two very overpopulated servers and several mid and low pop servers, and Primal has several high pop servers and a few med/low. So it balances out. They each have a few preferred servers at the moment.

Adamantoise is a preferred world, so it should have a star - probably only in character creation, if you aren't looking there. It doesn't matter anyways; you don't get anything out of higher population except more afk people sitting around, it doesn't affect your gameplay in any way. It may be quieter, but none are dead or anything.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

The primary difference between Primal and Aether is that Primal people don't play with people from Balmung. This is usually the deal-maker / deal-breaker for people deciding.

And Aether does not have to play with people from Hyperion. Amazing how that works!

There's a whole lot of mis-information going on here. Primal is a EU based datacenter, and Aether is an NA based one. That's the biggest difference. It's recommended to choose a datacenter you're closest too for ping response times, unless you have friends on a certain datacenter. Choosing a server based on population depends on your preferences for playing FFXIV. Are you a loner who doesn't really interact with many people? A low pop server would be right for you. Do you enjoy interacting with people but don't want to be crowded? A medium pop server might be right for you. Do you enjoy interacting and socializing with a big group of people, RPing and/or seeing a lot of people around cities and hubs? a high pop server might right for you. Now the problem with high pop servers at least on Aether is most of them are closed off to new character creation and transfers (Balmung and Gilgamesh). Also note that the duty finder pulls players from across the whole datacenter, so that shouldn't really matter in deciding on a server.

Yes to misinformation and No to Primal being EU. Aether and Primal are both NA, Chaos is EU, and Elemental, Gaia, and Mana are JP - you had me for a moment though had to go check to be certain. And with that cleared up, I'll just add that Ultros-best-server cause purple octopus are cool.

Primal is an NA server, as is Aether. I think the EU server is called Chaos but I'm not 100% sure.
