Ala Mhigan/Gyr Abanian Housing Items

I know that Shirogane as a housing area has resulted in a lot of Far Eastern furnishings to complement the residences there. I’m actually rather thrilled about that; a lot of it is really cool and REALLY beautiful. I’ve even used a piece or two (that wardrobe is great).

Still…I would enjoy some Ala Mhigan/Gyr Abanian items. My friends and I joke that most of it is just broken stone and pottery, but I’ve seem some cool stuff in the Ala Mhigan Quarter and in Rhalgr’s Reach that would look pretty sweet in a house. I’d also like an Ala Mhigan banner. During the MSQ I got excited when we got the Mol banner, and thought we’d get an Ala Mhigan one, too. Nothing yet, but I’m hoping. Gosh, an Ala Mhigan housing exterior would make my year. I won't even say that one's a stretch, I've seen that carbuncle house...


A little Rhalgr statuette would go such a long way for me, and maybe a lotus pond/lotus for indoors. I was trying to build Berrod’s shrine in the house and there was very little I could work with. I used incensories and candles, and I’m growing some purple flowers to make do in the meantime.

I just thought I'd bring it up on the official forums to see what other people think, and to possibly try to get the attention of the devs if the notion is popular enough.

I agree with this! It seems like the vast majority of new items were Doman/Far Eastern-based. While I can understand that, it would be nice to have a little more items taken from Ala Mhigan culture in our houses, both to help build a more thorough view of what life is like there, but also for pure variety's sake.

Any culture getting the love that Doman/Hingan/Shirogane did would be spectacular but it especially makes sense for Ala Mhigo as they were showcased in this expansion as well and seem to have been a bit neglected.

It would definitely bring more of a satisfying balance to housing as of right now, on top of being fair to our Ala Mhigan allies, and Lyse! From meditation fountains to statutes of Rhalgr the Destroyer, it would feel good honoring that part of the expansion. I know we do a decent chunk of the expansion in Doma and of course that's where the housing is located, but we have no furnishings or look into Ala Mhigan culture by comparison.

I totally dig the tents and stonework, especially if some Ananta style decor were thrown in as well. Potential tie-in and vendor could also be located via Ala Gannha, what with quarried stone and precious ores being apparently abundant there. With gourmet delights pouring out of the Saltery all too soon, thanks to a certain golden-eyed conspirator, Devs could potentially give story tidbits at their leisure (showing a recovering Ala Mhigo) as well as more player customization for housing that ties in with the bulk of what premiered in the expansion.

As my character is (ic wise) Ala Mhigan born, I definitely support this! I would just be happy with an Ala Mhigan banner to hang proudly on Enki's bedroom wall next to her Gridanian banner. But anything Ala Mhigan themed would be so appreciated!

Would like a statue of each of the Twelve. Would adore a Halone statue too!

I also think an Ala Mhigan housing area would be really cool. The city is there, just can't go in any of the buildings

More options is never a bad thing! Considering the amount of time we're spending helping out Ala Mhigo, I think it would only make sense to give us some more housing items reflecting that culture. And I agree that an Ala Mhigan housing section would be a welcome addition. I'd still prefer Ishgard housing but since Ala Mhigo is rebuilding itself it makes perfect sense to welcome people into a new housing district there.

I would love to get indoor water features. For example the outdoor water lily pots would make a nice indoor furnishing. What about floor and wall fountains? Mosaic and fresco partitions? Also what about hunting trophies like mounted racks of antlers and heads? Animal skin rugs beyond the bearskin? I am all for anything that adds more furnishings.
