    More Ideas

    So a while back I started a thread that was somewhat popular here --> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...LL-Not-a-Thing (please read devs, there are a tone of great ideas people have listed)

    Anywho, since it's more or less done I figured I'd post a few more ideas I'd just thought of:

    1. An in game bulletin Board in the main market areas for people to post FC recruit flyers, PF group hunts, etc

    2. Have the HQ percentage for gathering increase a little when leveling the classes. With a current level 56 Miner, when I go to gather something, say copper ore, it should have a better than 15% chance for HQ. Doesn't have to be a monumental increase per level, maybe something like 5% for every 20ish levels.

    well those are just a few right now, I may have more later.

    Edit: Forgot to add: lower the time between acquiring maps. 18 hours is just a bit too long to be disappointed by low level maps. Maybe drop it to like 10 or something. Someone on another post I read a long time ago suggested having the maps spawn more frequently with the "crappy" goods and a map fragment. Collect enough fragments to make a main map that contains the "major" goods. I like that idea too.

    Scholar faerie actions/emotes.

    1. The faerie will /cry over the fallen scholar before disappearing.
    2. The faerie will /hug the scholar during a level up or winning an item.

    This exists, after a fashion. Unearth III and Leaf Turn III will turn all lower-level HQ percentages to 100% at level 63 and above. Spread out over time that's essentially the bonus you're looking for.

    I like this. Currently the only way people have to do this is to either Shout in cities or put up Party Finder advertisements. The problem with the former is if your audience isn't there at the time you Shouted, they'll miss it, and if you're trying to put up a PF, you're locking yourself out of doing basically anything. Not to mention that that's really not what I'm looking for when I go into the party finder, so for me, seeing those things there is more an annoyance than help.

    Didn't know that as I haven't leveled that far yet. Still would be kind of nice not to have to waste GP on HQ low level materials.

    I agree, but by level 70 HQ low level materials essentially do nothing when crafting anyway. I turn most of my gathered HQ stuff to NQ just to save space. On the other hand, Bountiful Yield II and Bountiful Harvest II (at level 68) let you get +3 low-level items on a single hit for 100 GP. (Which is way better than King's Yield II/Blessed Harvest II, and can be easily combo'd with HQ bonuses if desired.)

    What I'm saying is, unlike Heavensward, Stormblood provides a lot of amazing tools to ease your low-level gathering. Keep leveling, you won't be disappointed.

    TBH I was just using low level gathering as an example. The HQ increase as you level would be applied to the higher level stuff as well to ease that burden somewhat, it would just have to be certain levels below you. I just never understood why it was locked at 15% while you level and upgrade your gear.

    That's why I said to have the increase only be around 5% every 20 or so levels: you still have to work to get the HQ bonus but it eases later so you don't have to burn GP as much.
