How can I earn gils enough to buy a house?

As what the tittle says, i been thinking leveling up all my crafting classes and gatherings too to 70 well except fisher because i don't think i'm going to level up that one for a while. Since my crafting classes are level 50 for now i can't seem to be sure that i'm going to have enough time and gils once the next patch comes out. The question is once i level up all my crafting classes to 70 what's the best way to sell and making money fast?

Also i know that i might not get a house since you all know that it always turns into a battle royal when it comes to that but at least i should give it a shot even i fail so i'm not that hyped to get one though but hey nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say.

Depends on your servers market. Search thru the market board for stuff you can make and gather. Even low level crafting can net decent payouts. And spend as little gil as you can while you work towards your goal.

HQ Materials would be the best bet. Always sell lower than the other HQs on the Market Board, and not too far above the regular quality. That way they'll sell quicker. Sell all possible materia. It usually sells pretty good. Just save money as much as you can (there isn't really a need for spending any until you get a house since you already have gatherers for material needs). Gear you'll get from dungeons if you're low level, and from spending Tomestones if you're higher. I just saved until a house popped up (ironically right next to my then FC).

That's not always true. When I came back from not playing for two years, I power leveled all my crafting classes to 50 and started playing the marketboard. Before I knew it I had enough gil and a small plot opened in the Lavender Beds where I had always wanted a house. So just stick to it and it will happen.

You can bring in decent money from sending your retainers on quick exploration ventures once they reach higher levels, and by doing your dailies. You can make good money from treasure maps but it isn't consistent and can be hard to find a group, depending on your server.

However, anyone who wants to get into making lots of money consistently will level all crafters and gatherers to 70. It takes time but it's worth it.

Level up your crafts and make levee kits and leveling kits.

Levee kits are the items people hq for the multiple turn in levees. So for example, the turn in levee asks for 4 apple pies and allows you to turn in 3 sets of four. You hq those and sell them in sets of four, twos, and also singles because there are always people who only want one to top off a set they did for their own levees.

Online you can find the listings of the multiple turn in levees but you can also just go to the levee npcs in ishgard and each town and look up the multiple turn ins. You can use them to level your classes and just make extra to sell.

    * Also this works well for fishing levee kits and I made a good amount while leveling my fsh through levees and selling the extra.

Level kits are the items people need to turn in for their class quests but are not required to synth themselves. For instance, clothcraft npc level 10 asks for a cotton tunic, you just make hq cotton tunics and sell them on the mb. For every Job quest there is a ton of players who can afford to not craft their own Job quest turn in items but they want to level a DOH or DOL and would prefer to buy the quest items from the mb rather than craft or gather it themselves.

Fishing can be profitable if you don't over specialize, don't over saturate and stay ahead of the markets that are quickly destroyed by undercutting. Find the ingredients that are needed for hq raid foods and see which ones sell well, you fish those or gather them or craft them.

The above also works for hq craft materials like the cloth needed for gear or thread.

Be sure to check the market before investing in a market.
Try not to over do the undercutting because undercuts eventually destroy markets to bits.
I see people open partyfinders and advertise their levee and leveling kits all the time.

    Good luck!

For buying a house. You need to check all the wards once or twice a day. You just have to make it a ritual. Took me a few months to find a house open.

Selling mats have been and will always be your best bet when making consistent fast gold. Crafting in this game is a little wonky. People seem to forget factoring in how much crystals sell for when selling a crafted item. Most of the time selling the mats is more profitable than the actual crafted item unless HQ.

I would not recommend trying to do HQ items. There just is not that much demand. Things will sit there for a long time before selling. So not fast. That is probably not true for HQ end game Alc and Cooking but the mats are rare, so again a lot of the time selling the mat is more profitable. It's also less risky because you are not stuck with a bunch of NQ items no one wants.

*Squints* You're on Balmung... making gil is going to be the least of your problems in your quest for a house. You're gonna have to make at least 20mil to buy a small house that you no doubt found advertised on Reddit. But if you are willing to actually stay on Balmung and pay the gouging prices then by looking at your search info I would suggest get your botanist up to 70 and then level weaver. This weekend on Balmung a lot threads from 61-70 thread crafts were going from 4-8k per item. Or alternatively you can take your botanist and level leatherworker (you'll need an alchemist to 65 or you're gonna be paying a lot of money Persimmon Tannin) and just sell leather but id argue that is too time costly. You could make hq items if you want, but people on Balmung are lazy, rich, and will buy crafting items at normal quality. With very little effort I walk away with a good chunk of change per day. Sure, its not in the millions per day but its easy and quick and honestly you got time before we get more housing and the gougers will always be around.

Also on the hour check the housing areas for demolished houses. I hear ppl on Balmung once in a blue moon get lucky.
