I think she is going out a too hard but I otherwise agree. In fact I wouldn't mind something more revealing it's not that big of a deal. But that.. no. The literal purpose is to make guys want to bang you hence the name Virgin Killer Sweater. So I can see why people(same as me) are strongly against this specific sweater. I'd much prefer clothing that's more normal. Like.. a normal sweater?

To be honest with it's name and meaning it really is close to a "slut sweater".

Square Enix would probably make it in the middle ground. It would be there take on it, and would be somewhere in the middle. Just be similar enough.

Tbf... guys don't need any reason to want to do that. The sweater is just icing on the cake.

Part of me wants to address the elephant in the room in the form of the. . . implications of a sweater like that, weighed against the ongoing debates of clothing meaning/not meaning things sexually, but let's face it: It's a slippery slope, and a subject most can't handle. It gets ugly and really SJWish really quick. We're not going there.

That said, it's a ridiculous, slightly appealing, and slightly cool design. . . in a fantasy game, where there's already items that allow you to literally run around in your underwear, if you so choose to (say, like a certain awkward, powerful, and influential businessman). And it means nothing! You can wear it or not wear it and it means absolutely nothing beyond what you like wearing/not wearing. I don't like Moogles or the majority of the pants options in game, so you're probably never gonna find me wearing the Moogle suit or pants.

Honestly, lore and immersion went out the window when they gave us a spinning turtle mount. Bring on the bike, imo.

We have flying chairs and swimming horses now, not to mention the Falcon mount. . . Bring on the bike indeed. Lol.

My thoughts as well. I didn't even know about that stupid name. It's just a cute top. We already have a few backless options in a similar style - southern sea swimsuit, miqo'te hempen, elezen hempen. Those are all perfectly decent and I'm sure SE could adapt a version of the sweater as well.

To be fair, the new Magitek mount has 2 big thrusters on it that we only use in the air. Sure, it should move faster, but if they were to issue a mount that has a lore/immersion-based speed differential, we all know that would become mandatory. Treasure maps? Hunt parties? No Magitek/Bike = kick, or some nonsense like that.

Then comes the "why does X mount go faster than Y mount that I paid for on the mogstation/earned in Savage/crafted/robbed a Castrum for?" THEN comes "why can't it fly in this area or that when it's designed to?"

Like, something's got to give at one point. Sure, I'm all for logic and immersion and all that, but overall I'm not gonna overthink it. . .

. . .Wait, I got it: backless sweater mount. It flies. You just sprout wings like that magicked prism item. There we go. Reason for a backless sweater, and a flying mount all in one. . . I'll be sending my resume in soon, SE :P
