Interior housing is instance based and shares the same data center server as all instance content in the game; dungeons, raids, trails, story battles, etc...I have read a lot of the threads on the housing situation with the idea of grandfathering to removal of the housing to those who have more than one house on the same account. As well the idea of instance housing, larger apartments, and FC only for Large and Medium.
As to the those who do own multiple plots my thoughts on this why don’t they instance the plots instead allowing those who want two, three or more character s. While I am not a fan of grandfathering I would accept it as it is/were the rules at the time. That said if they created new wards each patch or had added wards when one filled up I wouldn’t have an issue with it at all.
Again as to the instancing housing the instance plots would help to cut down on the felt need to those on the higher price account option to have more than one plot, and allow more plots to be had for all players. I like the idea of a community house rather than just an instance housing as the latter feels like it would be lonely.
With the Larger apartments as long as I had a window or a balcony I would like that, even more so if I can use at least one garden plot on it.
To the Large and Medium plots for FC only, I say no. I get the point but it doesn’t add anything besides space and you still get to use the workshop regardless. Plus if you have the gil, buy it you worked for it, and if they do instanced plots each of your characters can have their own house which would work for role players. Though for that thought I understand you may want one in Shirogane and the Mist given you have a reason for role playing (they should make role playing only servers for that anywho in my opinion, total different subject).
Curious on what others think on instanced plots and possibly those who have more than one plot to lose their others and chose one they want instead (in the end you would get more garden plots to use as well as long as you had the level and quest requirements on the other characters.
Wards are world server based and share only that worlds content.
Suggesting if people really wanted a house they would transfer servers is unreasonable. Its also contrary to why they insist on keeping non-instanced houses. "Want a house in the persistent, community encouraging wards? abandon your community to join a different one." Before Kugane I couldn't find a single empty plot in any town checking multiple times daily. I specifically roled on that server to be with friends and its not unreasonable to also want a house.I strongly beleive anyone (unless you started after the Shiro launch) has had a fair chance to own a house. Se put in a option to transfer servers....untill free transfers. if you wanted a house, there was plenty of servers with houses. it came down to a personal choice. 1 stay where no houses are or 2 pay and move to where houses are..
If they aren't going to start instancing housing then any additional wards should be restricted to 1 house per server, per account. Or to put it another way, can only be purchased by 'homeless' accounts on that server. It keeps the current systems intact except for undesirable parts such has a extremely short supply and the ability to flip houses in the new areas. There is absolutely no reason to reject it unless someone is being a disingenuous sadist or wants a much better solution and refuses to settle.
Depens on your prioritys..if housing was in fact such a big deal...prior to the free transfer system there was 100's of empty plots all you had to do is go to them...you may consider it "Unreasonable" due to what ever your prioritys.. SE put in a option so in fact everyone did have a chcance they might not of like it ...but enough people used that option to transfer to balmug they had to totaly lock it down lolSuggesting if people really wanted a house they would transfer servers is unreasonable. Im just saying pre free transfers there was a option for a house people may not of liked it but there was
Telling someone to pay for a server transfer is just as bad as telling someone to buy from a flipper. If you decided housing was worth the cost in cash and community fine. Some people don't mind paying flippers 50mil for a small plot either.
Point is these are not choices people should be forced into. Folks should be able to get houses on the server where they have lived. Housing might be the most important thing to someone and yet they don't transfer because they don't want to leave friends behind.
My point here is the entire plot was instanced and only showed the last house you changed it to. Would cause an issue with going into others yards to take a look at what they did/didn't do.
Another thought is phased for each character at the minimum for whom you can have a house, and while still on the world servers it would reduce the amount of hardware needed for multiple characters on the same account to have a house. This however would allow you to explore other yards and better show off you home if you are really into that.
Why should people have to pay $18 to leave their home server (or pay nothing at all, but still leave it, if moving to a preferred world) to get a house? That’s not a solution to the housing problem. People shouldn’t have to pay for a transfer or leave the server they consider home just to get a house. And it’s not about if “housing was in fact a big deal” or their “priorities” or not. I love my server; I’m not going to leave it and all of my friends to get a house that I will be sharing with...no one. Because I moved to a new server and know nobody! Sure, maybe some people have no connection to their server—they’re a loner, tend to play by themselves, don’t have many friends/only have acquaintances, etc.—but a lot of people that want houses DO have connections to their server. They have friends there; it’s their home.Depens on your prioritys..if housing was in fact such a big deal...prior to the free transfer system there was 100's of empty plots all you had to do is go to them...you may consider it "Unreasonable" due to what ever your prioritys.. I shouldn’t have to leave my home to acquire a house. Nor should anybody else.

Im not saying that any should have to all im saying is there was options if you really wanted a house like it or not it was a option.. lol The amount of people who had a problem with houses has like tripled since free transfers n shiro release going so bad.. its just now this big of a issue due to them 2 things...i agree totaly there should be at lest 1.5 x house more then the players on a server..Why should people have to pay $18 to leave their home server (or pay nothing at all, but still leave it, if moving to a preferred world) to get a house? And the reason i use that is cause of the tons of people who transfered to high pop servers.. payed to go to a place with no houses just to take a free ride to low pop and scream give me your house now...
ive said it before i know people who owned houses..left there houses to go to balmug/Gil for the rp/raid stuff...came back with the free transfer and are yelling you must give up your houses cause im here now.. <---these people tick me off cause u had a house you left it for high pop
Both of us know this is so far from the truth..Transfering servers if offered thru Se its self...House flippers are in game people ripping other people off.Telling someone to pay for a server transfer is just as bad as telling someone to buy from a flipper. If you decided housing was worth the cost in cash and community fine. Some people don't mind paying flippers 50mil for a small plot either.

Telling someone to use a option offered by the game dev is not even in the same ballpark as telling people to break tso (since can be banned for selling for high amounts)
ad im not telling anyone i was simply saying that SE had provided a option like it or not it was a option to get a house legaly....Now if u dont wanna pay or leave friends thats on you but the option was still there to use legaly..untill the free transfers spread the house shortage to every single server
Honestly, paying for a server transfer to get a house is the equivalent of saying, "Here, SE, take my money for doing a horrible job."
This doesn't have to be a zero-sum game. We CAN have housing wards like we do now AND instanced housing. They are not mutually exclusive. Some people don't care if they are in a regular housing ward or not, they just want a house and a yard to decorate and use. And if someone really wants a house in a ward, well they can buy a instanced house and decorate and when the time comes that someone relinquishes a house in a ward, instanced housing people can buy the plot and transfer their house to it, assuming they get to the plot first.
