The three same pets are not enough for me. I'd rather be trancing a variety of primals for a 10-15 secs than never bringing out my chicken mcnugget/scrawny harpy. We can still apply the DoT element to the gameplay by having the trance finisher leaving the target with a pseudo-elemental debuff and/or party buff (ifrit burns and weakens, shiva frostbites and slows, garuda poisons and casts hastega on party, etc)

Don't get me wrong. The smn job plays itself well enough to be named as another job (minus egi) like a chemist for example. Conceptually, it'll just never be "summoner" for me.
