This does work! I try to hug every lala I see in and out of dungeons. It's fun and makes you some friends. Also I don't pull tails (mewtch!) but I have a /em touches <t>'s tail emote. Just made a new au ra friend yesterday that way and we ended up spending hours chatting and she joined my linkshell.

To all the lonely people on leviathan go ahead and friend me! I love new friends and I love crafting for them. To the lonely people not on Leviathan....move to Leviathan!

I just kinda make people be my friends! Met someone nice in a FATE party? Claim them as a friend. I left an FC but was still friends with a couple people, I made all the new members be my friends. I know it sounds crazy and a little obnoxious, but I've had some really good friendships come from it. My husband and a couple other people found a tank in DF, he was on our server, now we have been playing together since the beginning of 2.0. A lot of it comes down to just talking to strangers, and continuing to talk to them. Even if you just start by waving at them every time you see them.

I was really bad antisocial when I started playing. (I have literally one friend irl..just to say how bad I am. lol). Just randomly apply into an FC if they're recruiting via shout. Just ask what do they mostly do..are they active, do they do mount farms, are they small? Join a random one. You don't have to talk or even be active. You can always just leave. Every FC that I been with has understood that not every FC is going to be a 'fit' for someone. If you make one friend from any, they'll almost always ask you if you want to run something with them and their friends. Before you know it, you have friends! I also tend to randomly ask DPS'ers if they would like a que skip if you see them waiting on the Duty Finder. That's another way to meet people if you have a healer or tank.
