New player disappointment in maintenance

I realize this is going to sound whiny and I may get a lot of hate for it, but I've been playing religiously for about a month now and without fail maintenance happens on my days off every time. I work really hard to survive in this world I barely scrape by and my solace has become my Monday and Tuesday FFXIV play sessions. I work nights so I get home late so my sleep schedule adjusted accordingly. This is the third week in a row that Maintenance is taking away my entire play session On my day off. I look forward to playing for the bulk of my time Monday and Tuesday and once again, and the week of thanksgiving none the less (which who cares anyway right I'm just a snowflake), world maintenance is going to completely ruin my days off and my happy experience I've been having since joining this community. I know I'm ranting and complaining I'm sorry but this is just such a bummer every single week now :-( this is my play time stolen every week.

I remember in 1.0 it'd always fall on my days off too.
Sadly, this going to be the case for someone, somewhere, no matter what they do.

Don't let it diminish your perception of the game. At least they care enough to keep it running smoothly.

I would imagine they probably try to do maintenance during the game’s overall quietest hours to affect the fewest players. My playtime tends to be during it too,but no matter what time they do it it’s going to affect some group.

And I get it I do I've been absolutely loving this game and the people I've met in my short stay in this world so far. However, couldn't they break up the days of maintenance a bit? Mon-tue one, time lets make its wed-thu next time. I do understand the necessity and I'm one of however many million players so who cares about one new guy right. But it's 3 weeks in a row now it's getting discouraging. And the powers that be will never see this and it won't matter to them anyway. I just had to get this out of my system. It's all sadness and disappointment it's not anger towards anyone I'm not trying to raise hell on the devs.

I agree I understand but why the same group 3 weeks in a row now? Break it up a bit mix some different days around, while obviously skipping the weekends which will be their bulk numbers of in game players I'm sure. This all comes from a good place I'm super new to the game as a destiny player for the last 4 years this is everything I've ever wanted in a game and I love every second I spend in the world. Love to all players and thanks to the devs for a fantastic game!

Break it up a bit mix some different days around

They're doing the patch maintenance (at least for all the .x, .x1 and .x5 patches) on these days to ensure that each patch update lines up with the weekly reset. It's likely a day they've chosen to streamline things, since it's only important for the patches that introduce new tomestones. IE: Making sure people don't have less days to cap, or have a short moment to get as many of the capped tomestones before the weekly reset.
