Because conventionally, you do need the extra retainers.

But if you were to micro-manage items from all venues of activities, you'd ve fine with the basic 2.

Part of the reason I have multiple retainers(all 8 in fact) is because I am a hoarder - trying to go through and get rid of stuff I can get from Calamity Salvager...just easily distracted. Another reason, is because of the minions that only retainers can bring back. While I will be able to cut back on my retainers once I do clear some of them off, I'm not sure how many I would end up getting rid of.

Because you can sell extra stuff on the MB and generate more gil. I do just enough gathering and crafting to warrant an extra retainer. The extra storage space for ingredients and glamour gear is nice as well.

So biggest reason is hoarding again. Because you can generate enough income with 2 retainers.

I feel like this whole jump potion destroys experience for mmo. When i joined ff14 community, i had friends that already were ahead of me with full lvl and Ilvl. Somehow as a truck driver with only 2 days aviable to play during a week I was able to catch up. I feel it's a way to make money off people that wants to see results in instant. Too skip the grinding but isn't that what mmos are about? "grinding"? We either grind for gear, item or exp. It's all my opinion only.

As long as any microtransactions are not personally effecting my gameplay I don't really care. Bring on all the cosmetic DLC you want I don't care. Just don't give anyone an inherent advantage over someone else. If that rule can be adhered to I'm cool with it. Now do I consider Jump Potions bad? Hmm... Not really no. They don't effect me. I do however think they're dumb. Why would you want to skip content you payed money for? That is just dumb imo.

I agree with Stigmar. If you don't like the topic do you really need to tell him not to start discussion? That's what this forum is for and will be filled with discussion of things you and me might not like.

Squeenix is greedy and will add anything they think people are dumb enough to buy. It's working for them so far isn't it?

That has nothing to do with greed. SE is a company who has to generate as much money as possible and they don't force you to buy the stuff, hell its not even close to necessary to buy a single thing extra in the mogstation.

But it doesn't matter what SE does people like you will always call them out for beeing greedy. I would really love to see how you lead a company like that...well better not.

Thank you! You're 100% right about that. I'd give it all away to the first lalafell who did something adorable in front of me. Or to one of my friends if they wanted it. Sorry, I know you were trying to insult me but it really made me feel good to know that I don't come across as a greedy company leader. You can try insults all you like, but imo, a cash shop that sells outfits/mounts/potions for ridiculously high prices as well as has a subscription is greedy.
