Developers! Please Read! (Mounts/Minions)

I really think we need a "Collections" section, place where all of our mounts/minions/etc to go so that they can be used not only by our mains but those of us that want to use them on alts.

The mounts could be mailed to us like the Slephnir, Fat Moogle, and Bennu mounts are that are from the Mogstation, OR the collections can be assigned to the account itself.

I think this would benefit for those who might be feeling burned out on their mains but don't want farm for the mounts they already have, the Roleplayers who want to use certain mounts in their RP, or those who have mains they aren't really happy with their characters and want to remake them but not lose the mounts and minions they worked hard to get.

I know not everyone agrees, this is one thing I really think it could benefit everyone in the long run. It doesn't have to be included in the next patch, but it could be something that could be added later with the right planning from SE.

I don't see an issue for the ones from Mog Station being all account bound and not char bound, but anything you get in game should be char specific imo.

That is a decision you, the player, make. If you want the thing on another character, wait until you're up for it again. Chances are by then the thing can be unsynced and nerfed besides, making the experience much less tedious.

The solution to that one is called 'Fantasia'.

This is an MMORPG. Most of the content is planned to e farmed for long durations, and people having alts is one thing that fuels back into this. If anything, a slightly more logical solution wouldn't be to make them account wide, but make them transferable. Like when you buy the single-chara item on the Mog Shop, it asks you which chara to send it to. You'd still be able to provide your lower alts with the thing, but your main would have to keep farming if you want it for more than one character.

Why should a character with the highest job at level 35 have Midgardsomr, that don't show up before lv50 as a minion and lv 60 as a mount? Just an example.
At least story minions and story mounts should be keeping character specific.

Why should they not have it if they have already done it on their main though?

Also if it is simply story mounts that are the problem then they can just omit those from sharing and just share the rest then?

You should keep in mind that there are level boost potions and story skip potions on the mog station that basically just give you the mount even if you never touched the story by the way. An alt getting it kind of makes little difference at that point.

The thing is that there's really not any point in having more than 1 characters in FFXIV since you can do all jobs and story with the same one so this system is obsolete here, in WoW it's almost impossible to stick with 1 character because youl get burned out almost immediately

This is simply not true. A lot of people still love having alts in this game. So you think it is pointless, but that doesn't automatically mean everyone else thinks the same way you do.

Also you are forgetting that gear is locked per week so if you wanted to actually play more than one job in current content when it is released and not be really low item level and no way to improve it then you would need an alt in order to actually make progress and get higher item level.

Like I main a healer...if I wanted to main a DPS and have some fun in savage on DPS too I need an alt because my item level on my main for DPS jobs will be continuously stuck at low item level for a long time since all my weekly locked gear goes towards my healer.
