Why should a character with the highest job at level 35 have Midgardsomr, that don't show up before lv50 as a minion and lv 60 as a mount? Just an example.
At least story minions and story mounts should be keeping character specific.

Why should they not have it if they have already done it on their main though?
Also if it is simply story mounts that are the problem then they can just omit those from sharing and just share the rest then?
You should keep in mind that there are level boost potions and story skip potions on the mog station that basically just give you the mount even if you never touched the story by the way. An alt getting it kind of makes little difference at that point.
Because that character is a different character that hasn't obtained the mount/minion yet.
Might as well ask why they should have it - other than the obvious reasons of player greed and laziness.
Uh...it's greedy to want an alt to have a mount you've already done the work to get?
Alright then...I mean I think it is pretty rude to call people greedy and lazy just because they want their alts to have the mounts they already did the work to earn on their main, but if you want to take it that seriously then okay, you do you. I mean you are acting as if having more mounts gives some kind of advantage even though they are simply aesthetic.
It is simply a QoL feature in my opinion. You already earned the mount on your main, it isn't like you got it by doing nothing, and then if you feel like having alts you can also have your favourite mounts to use that you already did the work to earn. Seems fine to me and I barely play alts.

Then why should a new character start at level 1 on all jobs, if the same player leveled up all the jobs on the main character? The same reason why story mount/minions should be keeping character specific.

This isn't even a logical comparison. No one is asking for free job levels as that isn't simply aesthetic. That would give an advantage.
Mounts are only aesthetic they do not give you any kind of advantage. I mean by your logic then we shouldn't even be able to share our personal houses with our alts because they didn't buy it? Sharing your personal house across your alts should have been in the game already to help with the limited housing issue. Some people might want a house on their alt but are stuck having to purchase another one since they cannot even share their main's house.
Also I already said to you that if story mounts are an issue they can omit those ones.

For mounts, perhaps, but Minions actually have utility outside of aesthetic. They are Lord of Verminion, and certain minions are required in order to spawn certain S rank hunt marks.
I wonder, though, where's the crowd who shows up and yells about things losing 'exclusivity'. Because I can only imagine I'm not the only one with a bunch of things on my main that my alts don't have while I have a lot of alts. If this gets implemented, boom, 7 more charas on my server have all of this, and still with their sprouts, to boot.
That said, ultimately I wouldn't mind if this got implemented. Lord knows I'm fond of the Yokai mounts but had absolutely no intention of getting them on anyone other than my main. If getting the minions on any one character contributed to all my characters getting the minions, thus ensuring at least the basic mount, the motivation to run this would be greater. It would also let me benefit from running the FATEs on my lower level alts without my main losing out on any awards. The Weapon farm will be a different matter, but then a question also arises - why not increase this to the Armoire? Mog Shop items already don't fit in there, IIRC, and anything else is glamour only. But this is getting ahead of things, I think.
Then there's the matter of the Seasonal Event stuff. Those tend to end up in the Mog Station so they have no motivation to make those 'account wide'. If there's a reason why they won't do it, it's this.
