for a theme-park mmo that has a low priority on world immersion, do you think it's time to remove the armor repair system?
seem to only serve as an annoyance at this point.

Keep it, but make it so we can repair others gear.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
The main function of repair is to make it harder to bot and/or discourage people from playing super long stretches of time without really paying attention to anything else going on irl (which can be a big issue with mmos).
It's fine as is.
Repair is one of the few Gil Sinks in this game, and we really could use a few more of those.
Just let me repair other people's gear or let them request from me in a duty.
I disagree. If anything, the feature needs to be expanded in a way we can repair other people's gear in instances/open world.
Good call, community. Hopefully they will add that feature in the future. Thank you for responses!
You know, the more I think about it the more I like this idea, since it makes leveling crafters even more worthwhile.
Helps to prevent instances where someones gear breaks (for one reason or another) while still in a instance, and in the open world one could in theory even say request a small fee for the repair (although the NPC mender barely demands anything, I cant see many people thinking repairing gear for gil being even remotely worth it :P )
I like the system and I think it should stay.
However I'd like to be able to repair others gears, or if they added an NPC/aether crystal at the beginning of each dungeon that allows players to repair their gear for gil. Just imagine a tiny crystal or npc close to the "shortcut" portal that can repair your gear for you.
We need this so bad. I don't have the patience to level up my crafters, but when raiding itd be great to have one of my team mates be able to repair my gear, so we don't have to leave if I forget to repair before going into something.
