    Anima regen, can the mods get us an answer? ^^

    I dont remember if they ever game an answer on this or not. But have the devs game an answer on whether they going to raise the regen rate on anima or reduce travel cost?

    It regens way too seriously slow. Nearly my whole ls is out of anima from tele back to the cities after battles + leve porting + quest porting. 100 with such a slow regen rate doesnt work. Yes we have chocos and airships now but they arent always feasable to use. Who wants to run to Camp Glory on chocoback?

    They need a system like xi where a small amount of gil could work or they need to reduce it to 1-2 per port.

    If they mods could ask the devs that would be greatly appreciated ^^

    they have never mentioned that they have even thought about lowering cost or increasing regen, so the answer will be no. I also see no reason at all to do so. favor a place in coethas and some of the other far reach places that you go to often and choco the rest of the way. there is no reason for you to be that low now.

    but we win at the moogle and/or ifrit at least 7+ times a day, so that right there is at least 2-3 anima per port. Plus the port out there. That aside tho we are all riding at around 10 anima at the most regardless of a meager 3 favorited spots.

    You also must consider leves, even favorited unless you want to do the run from ul'dah to broken water or nophica's wells you have to spend at least 2 anima for 2 leves if your dol, and with the scarcity of the pt these days 4 leves doesnt take you far so thats more anima to use to port for dow/dom lvling. Add that into primal run ports, quest run ports, etc etc. Its not that easy to keep anima. Not all of us want to or can spend 1-2 hrs per day just running back and forth on our chocobo.

    The cost of porting is not in any way proportional to the regen of anima and it really should be addressed.

    win moogle 7 times a day with 8 people in the party thats 2 anima each, homepoint at turning leaf and teleport to gridania once. same deal with ifrit except you have to use 3 anima, home point at broken water and tele to gridania. I really dont see the big issue

    edit. also if you are doing them 7 times every day you dont have much time for much else so you cannot be spending that much. 7 moogles is going to take about 3 and a half hours to complete since you need to wait 15 minutes between each fight

    It was already addressed a few updates ago. They both lowered the cost in general and now allow you to select three favorites at an even lower cost. They also added in alternate modes of transportation. If you are responsible with it and use it wisely—it shouldn't run out.

    You're porting too much. Anima is supposed to restrict you to porting only a fraction of the times you possibly could; that's what it's designed to do. Use favorites wisely and walk more. Remember that you're going to need Anima in reserve for when you truly *need* it, not just when you want it. Generally, don't use it when you're soloing and particularly don't use it for solo leves.

    Who wants to run to Camp Glory on chocoback?
    I wouldn't go so far as to say I *want* to--but I have. Many times. And will likely do so again.

    I need help with management of it too. I would rather replace it with gil and get rid of anima. The further away you are porting the more gil it should cost. 2k gil being max cost. Or make airships make use of those landing ports in the field and then i wouldnt need anima lol.

    Heck would be sweet but not a major deal breaker.

    You don't understand what anima is for. It is to allow players who have only about five hours a week to play FFXIV to get the most out of their time by teleporting everywhere, while those who play a large amount of time still have to walk most places. Substituting a gil charge would completely subvert this purpose as well as give an advantage to experienced players over new ones, which I believe SE would also like to avoid. (If they did do it, 2k would more likely be the minimum rather than the maximum)

    IMO adding an "anima potion" at companies that restore a few animas would already be good enough. Could work similarly to the infamous FFXI "warp scrolls".

    Still...i wouldn't be surprised if anima and guardian favor restoral items became availble only at cash shop :/
