I understand if a tank doesn't like large pulling (it's not speed running), but if everyone else in your party desires it, then you adapt. This idea that tank is the sole pace setter is so silly. If you want to play leader, run with 3 of your friends and have them deal with you or something. Other tanks that are good at their role will be flexible enough to adapt to their parties needs.
Back when actually speedrunning Wanderer's Palace was a thing, and it was actually hard to heal, I didn't give up and force smaller pulls. I adapted.

Of course, if you can't large pull as a result of you simply not being able to handle it, rather than some stubborn idea that you can do what you want, that's different. Totally understandable. But if you can, and your party wants bigger pulls, then give it to them.

Dungeon running is a team effort, you can't go in thinking you'll play how you want no matter what anyone says.

(This post isn't directed at you, but Tanks in general)
people like you suck to deal with in dungeons. tank is the one putting their hp at risk, some tanks get nervous. forcing them to do stuff is wrong. you have a keyboard use it, ask for larger pulls.

dungeon running IS a team effort, but over stepping your role goes against that. Trust your tank, they know their limits. You can communicate, but it still up to them in the end. Let them build confidence into doing larger pulls. Not blanket train them into playing like you. You have to consider their gear, their weapon, and how new they are to the dungeon.

My g/f during early ARR was a fresh tank, and got ridiculed into large pulling in her first time in both WP and AK.

Some people don't intentionally let people die. Some people just panic as they don't know what to do.

Everyone does need to work together, but people may need to adapt to the skill of the tank and not the other way around. People like you are kinda why people rarely tank in mmo. They don't want to be harassed or blamed for playing a job.

I've seen my g/f get the worst of the worst insults just for not speed pulling, simply because she was new, on the ps3 and her gear wasn't on par to do so.
