its only the first wave of jobs, maybe we'll get a ranger or hunter in the 2nd wave. Besides it has pretty good abbilities as bard, i would have liked to have an attack buff but with tp will be fine. And the Aoe ws looks good for moogle fight

The question to ask is if we will be able to have 1? 2? 3? songs active at once. WIll it be like FFXI, where if im playing PGL i'll have to run by the mages for the MP song? If we could only have 1 or 2 songs, the HP + TP song would kinda ruin it for pgl lol.

in your theory if we cant stack buffs tp isn't really a problem at the moment in this game. if you cant keep your own tp up than that a user error but stacking on mages to get a mp buff doesnt cripple plg at all. all you do is move get buff go bak to fight simple if that is even the case but im guessing the songs will be able to stack but only last for 15-20 secs 1-2min cd's just my guess

FFXI is the only other FF MMO in existence. I wouldn't exactly call it the "exception" when talking about expectations in FFXIV.
It is a valid point, but these dudes don't care~ they want their buffs!
Will be interesting to see how this comes into fruition from DD to support/DD.
Oh and since we're talking about other games, an arcane archer would have been nice![]()
i dont think its a valid point at all. only people that QQ is the damage hungry, it would be cool to be an archer and say i did the most damage scrubs. the rest of us real archers don't care the game created our role and we are goin to make it godly and not QQ about it and the other half just don't like the thought of looking like a fairy. plus as for the rest of us that have been here since beta can tell the people that QQ will just jump to the next top dd Class anyway so QQing about archer going to bard is irrelevant thats transition has been in the works for months and will not change so less QQ more talking about the actual job
i really hope that songs last for 7min at least right now 4 min is nothing taking for example the speed buff archer has at the moment especially for fights like the ifrit one where you need to run all the time and loose a lot of dmg opportunities
well reading a few more post they need to do 2 things to bardcher, one is to make the buff songs last longer 7minutes minimum so you can focus on dmg too, second is to give a boost in the damage to archer, right now it does a lot of damage but you have to spend gil to buy arrows, other jobs only need to repair and they're rdy to go, so in my oppinion is not fair that you have to spend gil or level up carpenter to keep up with others melees, at the beginning the dmg archer did was a lot higher than other melees and it was fair because every time you had to go out and fight something you had to spend gil to be ready.
So i hope they check that and give archers or bardchers a good reason to go out and play that role.
I absolutely disagree. WTH does the fact that we have to buy arrows mean we 'deserve' more damage?give a boost in the damage to archer, right now it does a lot of damage but you have to spend gil to buy arrows, other jobs only need to repair and they're rdy to go, so in my oppinion is not fair that you have to spend gil or level up carpenter to keep up with others melees.
Others could argue that they require to significantly out damage archers, because they have to get close and in harms way to even be in range to attack.
Archers have a safe distance, thus, the draw back is paying for arrows.
