				I just wish they'd make Storm's Path (the animation, that is) the AoE attack again.
That was the perfect combo of both looking appropriate for the attack (with the whole whirling dervish thing) and looking awesome as a high level skill.

The jump just wrecks it for me... if he spun around, jumped and swung on the down-swing I'd probably like it more.

			
			
				Not a fan of Whirlwind myself. The windup animation where the Marauder swings the axe over their head is far too slow and the swing doesn't have that much impact at all due to a slow swing and no noticeable sound or effect on impact other than the whirlwind itself when it finally comes up. It was really apparent in pre-1.20 where the HP damage from the attack came out at an awkward moment after the entire animation that made you go "wait, that was it?". If the "raising overhead" part was fast with more centrifugal motion to it, and the part where he brought it down had some better sound effects and maybe a camera shake or something to accompany it, the move would look great. But the current Whirlwind just seems so...casual.Whirlwind looks nice IMO.

I do agree that Steel Cyclone should not have the jump, unless of course the Marauder were to use that jump as the catalyst for another swing. But at least that animation has some life to it. They should finish it off with a vertical slash as the Marauder is coming down, that would look slick.
It looks like WAR is meant to be a damage dealing off-tank. It seems a bit situational to be an overall great DPS. I'm looking forward to testing it out come 1.21.

Implying that there is a main tank and off tank, I doubt anyone would want this the main tank instead of a PLD. It seems like it would be ideal to be main tank on smaller things due to the added DPS compared to PLD, but the hard hitters PLD would be ideal. Sorry if the way I phrased myself was "degrading."

I expect the AoE stun/buff ability to have a recast of 3-5 mins at least.
Especially if it can work on pesky flying moogles.
