You bought Heavensward before Stormblood came out. Did you play it? If you did, you didn't waste any money. Did you not play it? Then you wasted money, but that was your choice. Stormblood in itself costs 40 dollars right now, they'll just thrown a free HW copy with it, one that you may or may not need (none of us who had bought and played before SB needed it).

If you havent made the purchase yet, amazon has the game (both complete and SB only version) on sale for $39.99 and 24.99. Idk if gamestop still has the game on sale but you should find them to be same orice as Amazon’s listing

Yes, you do have to spend that - it is what SB costs.

I don't know if this thread is even relevant? This supposed to be Help Forum, which I don't get the point.

If you are fuming about the price, there's nothing really much that the community can do. Like many other games, it's very normal that the newest expansion is priced higher.

So, if you think that it doesn't worth to spend the next $40 for SB, I would simply suggest don't play, and wait until the next expansion to come out, then you can buy the SB for cheaper price, or pay for the next expansion and hopefully it will cover the SB content as well.
