And if you want to do that, you should be able to. I don't see customization options as a bad thing, as long as its not ridiculous. And like she said, she wants more options, shes not saying they should scrap the look of current Elezen and remake them entirely. Keep your Elezen how you want it, but theres nothing wrong with more choices.

There's the difference - I see changing the look of a race to something that no longer looks like that race to be ridiculous...unless you're making a new race. That's what she wants - not just more options, but options that don't fit what Elezen are.

Half-Elezen as an option, that are less lengthy in arm, leg, and neck? Have at it.

Having an Elezen that is less lengthy in arm, leg, and neck? That's not an Elezen. Don't like it, play a different race.

Also, yes I am cranky about this, but Elezen get more "change them please" threads and comments than any other race and it's really starting to get annoying. People are upset that they can't play their Tolkien-esque elves (essentially human but fairer and with pointy ears) and just. Keep. Bringing. It. Up.

I mean hey, I'm a Lalafell. People can be downright mean to me, so I can understand being defensive about your race and what you like about them. But I still personally think that there could be more customization for all races, not just Elezen. I would like to be a little less round in the hips as a Lalafell. Everyone calls me a potato but I feel more like a pear. Lol

Do you consider Aymeric to be a proper Elezen? His features are fuller and more rounded than anything we have access to now, and his head is actually proportionate to the rest of his body, but he is easily identifiable as an Elezen.

More options are generally not a bad thing and sliders don't have to be extreme.

The right outfit, the right hairstyle, and a square jaw can do wonders (also unique to his Elezen face is the less gaunt cheeks - both of these would be nice options, absolutely, but they don't actually change the proportions).

Just go into the character creator and toggle between the race and job attire with Gladiator selected on a male Elezen and you'll see an example of what I mean.

That's always been a thing with Elezen anyway - any outfit and hairstyle that hides the longer neck and head proportion to the rest of the body makes the difference significantly less noticeable. It's why certain hairstyles are really, really popular on Elezen.

Throw in the fuller hair of Aymeric and his square jaw, and that's why it looks like he has different proportions.

But that's the thing. With more options/sliders, Elezen could make use of more of their hairstyles and clothing instead of gravitating towards certain styles that balance out their features.

For what it's worth, I feel the same about Au Ra as well. I think they are the race that would benefit the most after Elezen. Like the particular face I'm using right now? The chin is too narrow, and it gets a bit weird around the eyes when looking at them from the front.

Going back to my first comment, I'd love to have all of the facial features unlocked, no longer being tied to specific faces. I think that could go a long way for ALL races.

Most races could do with face tweaks and certainly more options there, and that I will support.

Other aspects, like the OP suggested? That'd be like asking to have an Au Ra option with no tail or horns because they don't like that aspect of how they look, despite it being part of the identity of the race.

They don't want to play an Elezen. They want to play a hyur with pointy ears.
