Character creation

I'm not the one suggesting that we destroy a races look because it doesn't gel with me without any regards to the players who play said race.

I main an Elezen but the original opinion is not worth getting so uptight over. People are allowed to disagree. Hell I can't stand playing Hyur and there's only one female Aura face I can stand as well. Also, while I do think body style changes would go a long way to fixing my personal issues at the end of the day just having that opinion and being interested in seeing how it might work out doesn't mean I want to destroy their aesthetics. Having the ability to make choices in regards to how the race looks is fine so long as it keeps in line with their original design. No one will force you to change.

While this response was rather rude. I understand where you're coming from to a degree. While Elezen are loved by some, they are the second least played race with under 30k active players playing them, almost tied with Roe for last. While lalafell, in third place beat them out 50k+ active players playing the race. It seems more ironic then anything that the classical beautiful elven race, which I assume they were going for with Ishgardian's is generally disliked by the community.

As for body types. In a game with dragons and magic, you REALLY think you cant have some chub, or be underweight and not muscular. We play in a world with RIPPED lalafell who can carry twice their size.

A part of me wants to believe that the next expansion will revamp character creation. We got flying and swimming, what other revolutionary system could they add? (But I guess I shouldn't get my hopes too high, haha).

Err, I should of worded that better. I mean, keep the Elezen we have now but add more body types/sliders (like keep everyone's body right now as 'Average' and then add more) so maybe I can make an Elezen character look decent

Oh - well in that case, I also agree to an extent. As long as races will always keep their racial features such as long limbs and neck for the Elezen.
There would be no point to having Elezen and Hyur be two separate races if you could just... get rid of the Elezen features.

I'd like on that part of the game:

- being able to export the character appearance to a file, to share with others, and ofc able to import a character appearance from a file. PS4 have now external drive feature so they can enjoy this too.
- have the flyover names of all graphic setups, as the haircuts.

I hope a new improved character creation could be part of the next expansion. With how much this game has grown it seems natural that more diverse character options should grow with it.

I just want elezen to have more fluid animations, that's my biggest turn off otherwise I might get to playing one. The overly stiff, almost robotic movements really over-accentuate the proportions. I feel like even if you're lengthy you don't need to move like every bit of you is held together with sticks. The other issue I see with the models are the over-extended shoulder joints, which I think are a relic from the Elvaan models and think were designed for motion compensation. But in the this point in time the models can be improved, made to move and look more natural, without touching actual anatomical differences.

Elezen are perfect, one of the most attractive races who honestly only need a bit more diversity in faces (as they only actually have two)

Using data which shows a majority of the playerbase is running around as catgirls and demon-lizards isn't evidence that Elezen, Highlanders or Roes need a rework to be more cute. I would wager many actually prefer the above to the horribly generic Miqo'te and Au Ra, but simply lack the time, patience or ability to make a nice one in Character Creator.

I don't know if you're directing that at me, but I never stated that Highlanders/Roe need to be changed. infact. I love their models. They fit what they were going for, Muscular and large.

My major issue is that square was trying to go for the elegant, tall, beautiful race with Elezen

(atleast from the concept art) but they just ended up being weirdly proportioned and more like the FFXI race. to be honest, a slightly bigger head/narrower shoulders is all it would take to make them look more anatomically correct (to me atleast, since everyone shares different opinions on this and im really trying not to attack anyone)
