Up until now I still have an active social LS & FC that recruiting players for helping them do a content and they manage to clear O4S & shinryu just fine even tho they just start playing on SB & 3.4/3.5 . and I still have so many social discord that held so many players that willing to learn how to play and optimize , and thus from there I manage to make a lot of friends and manage to have 2 static without problems on both my main & alt .

Stop barricading yourself to new/old player that willing to learn (you might find some golden seed around of it) , if your Data center is just bad for socialize then move on find other data center that fits you around . ( and yeah "player that willing to learn" not player that asking for nerf on some content because he/she can't clear it with pugs )

At least it isn't bad as Thordan from what I've heard, and they did warn us ahead of time that it'd be at that level of needed skill regardless. Just keep throwing yourself at it and you'll eventually get it.

Shinryu follows the same principle in fight design as most "difficult" content in Stormblood. The fight peaks mid-way through the fight and you get to play the slow ride to the end. Incidentally the "hardest" mechanics in the fight happen on the first phase, with the second and third phase being pretty faceroll in comparison.

Due to said design, the difficulty can barely hold a candle up to Sephirot, not to even mention Thordan. The fight is in no need of nerfs at all. The last phase of Shinryu is one of the easier finales when looking at the whole spectrum of Extreme encounters we've had past the lifespan of the game.

If you are looking to farm the mount it will naturally become easier over time. When better gear comes out in 4.2 and beyond.
