a long complicated process
you need to get a flash drive/ exterior hdd. copy and paste the character settings to it, load them up on pc, copy the settings and retitle it the file of the character you want to copy over.
then load it back on t the ps4, think you need ps+ on top of that.
kinda sad ff11 had the ability to save settings on the p2/ps3 xbox, and reuse them on your other characters.

I took a picture of the tv on my phone when I was on ps3 for hud layout, hotbar button placement (though that was basically thrown out the window for the most part when SE decided to remove abilities), and a couple of macros before I got a laptop to be able to keep playing before ps3 got the boot. Probably one of the only things you can do besides the flash drive option mentioned.
Presume the PS4 version doesn't have the same settings "BACKUP" button in the launcher?
On PC you don't even need to do that convoluted way of copying folders etc anymore..
Load up the launcher > open the settings tab in the launcher and click the backup button.
Saves it to a file and you can restore it in a similar way when you reinstall..

doesn't work like that to copy/paste files you need ps+ and use of the cloud. back up just saves the ps HDD if you have to restore it due to file corruptions.Presume the PS4 version doesn't have the same settings "BACKUP" button in the launcher?

ff11 had a feature that you press the lb rb l2 r2 buttons on the character select and it would save ALL settings. you just press them again and upload everything on your new character. it would save all your settings and your macros.

Documents->my games->ffxiv->FFXIV_CHR(rest of junk here)->the files are pretty straightforward. I assume what you want is UISAVE but I mean... just read the rest for whatever else you may want cuz theyre all split up, if you have a hard time finding your main read the logs sometimes itll have exactly what you last did in there
Tried the backup and restore and HUD did not change.Documents->my games->ffxiv->FFXIV_CHR(rest of junk here)->the files are pretty straightforward. I copied FFXIV between my desktop and laptop and copied the settings. It creates a file called FFXIVconf.fea
But your mileage may vary since my desktop is 4K and my laptop is HD. I believe it only saves most of the UI/hotkey things except that which is unique to the resolution (eg it would be incredably foolish to export a 200% zoom between devices at different resolutions, since it will prevent you from getting into the menu)
