]No I don’t know all Balmung players, but I like the feeling of the crowds.

So enjoy the crowd and stop whining about a problem you helped to create with your community, that you could help fix but have no interest in doing so.

You can thank me for leaving your over crowded world if you like, and if you would like to explain in detail how opening Balmung will work in any possible way with a finite cap on player numbers go ahead.

Either Balmung maintains the current lock, or the population risks inflating to the point of server instability, if not data center instability.
"Other servers" still have a influx of new blood because "older servers" are not at capacity, but Balmung is.

You accepted this reality when you picked Balmung, and continuing to complain about it aswell as jumping between "unlock" and "dont unlock" does nothing more then make it seem like you're either A) trolling or B) attention grabbing.

Why did we need a new "Open Balmung " thread? There is literally another thread on the front page that you have replied to going over the same points. At best, you will get the same responses that that thread did.

I am on Balmung. I plan on staying on Balmung.
I understand that this potentially limits:
- my gil income
- my housing situation
- my RP circles
- my FC’s growth

My main will likely stay on Balmung till SE pulls the plug on xiv. I know what it feels like to be rooted in your server- thats why I’m sticking it out. But I see these topics as wanting your cake and eating it too. We can’t be busting at the seams and open the floodgates anyway. It sounds harsh, but really: if you are unhappy with the situation, your best bet is to move. Balmung will not be unlocking in the near future.

For rp’s sake, I made copies of my more used characters on Mateus. Maybe ask your FC/linkshell contacts if they’d be willing to do the same? At least then you’ll get the best of both worlds without committing to one or the other.

If you didn't keep changing your mind more often than most people change their underpants you would be taken a lot more seriously.

You come across as the epitome of what the community thinks of Balmung's population with pretty much everything that comes out of your mouth. You honestly need to learn to stop before you start hammering your keyboard and embarrassing both yourself and your server because this subject did NOT need another topic.

Either stay on Balmung and shut up, or put your money where your mouth is and go.

It's honestly starting to get a little suspicious how frequent these threads are happening now. Can't help but wonder if there's been some player in the community that brought up their own opinion somewhere else and now everyone is just like "Oh, yeah, it does kinda suck, we should complain until something is done."

Yeah, it sucks to be in your position OP, but...this is something that the player base on Balmung (and those who flocked there in droves) did to themselves, yourself included. Did SE help? No, not really. Their inaction made an already bad situation that much worse. The server lock came way too late. But in the end, everyone must accept that mistakes were made. That's why SE's trying to get people to move off of Balmung. You can either stay or go, but it's your choice regardless. Gotta live with your decision no matter what it is.

Let me make this clear. This is not the player base of Balmung's fault. Some of us, myself included, got into the server through creation, not through a paywall. Why are we punished? I've gotten people giving me the, "You paid entry, shut up," despite how I didn't pay to get into Balmung.

If anything we need to stop blaming Balmung for every little thing server related. SB launch couldn't stop getting it. "WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF OF BALMUNG SO WE CAN DO COLD STEEL?"
