Just because your server doesn't utilize this system doesn't mean other servers don't, either.

You don't use it because you don't hunt right. If you do, Allied Seals are ridiculously easy to come by, though I'll admit the daily mark system for them is borked.
i play on ps4 and don't always have access to a pc, and i need to replace my phone as it barely holds a charge.

how about instead of poking fun at others, maybe consider changes could be nice. i work most of the day, so i can't always be on for hunts. I rely on the bills.

Irony aside since the 4.1 update, and S ARR ranks giving centurio seals, which means free upgrading to 340 stuff, these hunts are overcrowded on my server even at 3am. Without the right active hunt linkshells you might think its dead while in fact it is not. As soon as i connected to the game today i did get in them two rank ARR rank S spotted, that's 200 allied and 100 centurio seals in less than five minutes. But if didn't have these linkshells, i wouldn't even know they were players killing them if i wasn't on the right map seeing tons of "inv pls" in the chatbox. And even if nobody are really hunting rank S in your server, you can always try to spawn them yourself (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...umed-mechanics).

To know when a hunt might be on you have got some websites where players are entering the moment of death of each hunt, and with the site processing the reapparition timer you know when to hunt what and when not. This alone explain how some players find some rank A mobs after another, especially if you are a whole coordinated group scattering through the maps to find them quicker, and you know the usual spots they are spawning on. I usually always have this one open in the background when hunting : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/HuntTracker/

Buying max speed for big maps first is indeed kinda needed, especially if they are some early pullers on your server.

Now i am not saying that you get used to hunting in one day, it takes some time. But when really trying it is not that hard to unlock all max speeds at all.

And to be back on qol, i would really like to have an option to sort mascotts alphabetically, to find quicker if i have already one of them or not. Or even better, having the number of items possessed search telling you if they are already in your collection on top of telling you how many you got in your inventory and retainers.

i wasn't asking for advice though. I find it rude to just give it, with out asking if i require it. I know about the hunt LS's, hunt tracker. I don't always have access to my pc or my smartphone (barely holds a charge) If i wanted advice, i would have asked for it.

I'm suggesting a change for consistency, not "to make it easy" i personally find it hard as i work 12 hrs a day on a 2-2-3 schedule iirc (i worked a ton of over time lately) and switch between working 6am-6pm to working 6pm-6am. i get 2-3 days off with 1-2 day i'm on call which lately, have had to go in.

Most of my seals come from the hunt bill because that is what I can realistically do. I'm not new to hunting, just got everything I wanted year or so ago. Only got back into it for the speeds as they help with gathering.

instead of coming in to derail a qol thread with "advice" how about either a) not post if you disagree. or B) post why you disagree. Just shoving advice down peoples throat with out asking questions is pretty rude. As is the passive aggressive retort when politely refused

also i recommend looking up what a nerf is, you used it incorrectly in the context. asking for the ARR hunt bills to work like the Centerio hunt bills Or combining the currency to 1 item isn't a nerf. Its a QoL change. A nerf is making something easier for sake of it being easier.

im asking for consistency not ease.

also no such thing as early pulling.
