What's considered "too casual" - glamour

So on the topic of glamour, I see a lot of people being creative with dyes and clothing to make it look somewhat "modern/casual"
I know to a lot of people its, frowned upon.
I've been wondering what you considered glamour wise that breaks lore a bit?
Does it matter? Do you care if someone wears something that looks too casual?

This was something I made that looks the most modern to me.

genuinely curious! - be kind to others in the discussion if you can <3

I like whatever I like... and tend to side towards things I would actually wear, though it varies between classes quite a bit too. I enjoy seeing the creativity that others display and the variety of styles. I figure if they wanted us all to follow a certain style, they wouldn't put the variety in the game to be used.

That's a good point, I'm seeing a lot more "Modern" style outfits on the mogstation, and around the marketplace.
I've just met a lot of people who think it breaks roleplay or the lore of the world.

I don't really like to go ultra-casual because there's so many interesting options to play around with that do fit the game's aesthetic a little better, but lately I have been loving the way the Tantalus pants dyed to look like dark blue denim and paired with an undyed glade tunic and snow-white expeditioner's moccasins look on my gatherers, because it is very simplistic and kind of has an outdoor-work-outfit feel to it.

^ Couple pics of a similar outfit I put together just to see how it looked in cutscenes. It doesn't exactly say "hey, I'm ready to fight!" but I ended up really liking it. xD I think I tend to go for more of a simplistic look with most of my glamours on Mal though.

My attempt at a David Bowie homage

I like seein' how creative people can be, taking the outfits given and mix them up in ways to make it modern. I think its pretty neat, as for a break in world immersion/role play, there's plenty of examples of dress being an indicator of (in)sanity, "modern" dress could be explained as someone not right in the head

I've never seen it frowned upon personally.

    Wear what you want imo

Breaking up lore....world immersion.... I don't buy that personally. It's a fantasy game. Weirder things have happened aside from clothes...............
