And then what? You'll kick them? What if the healers kept letting them die and they're constantly with Brink of Death, which butchers their numbers? Will you kick the healers too? Where will this end?
It never ends. Eventually the whole 24 man will have been kicked and the last person in there will just vote abandon. That is all that will ever happen in 24 mans ever again in this post-parser-pocalypse.
Page 2 is thataway. Already covered in this thread.
So you would rather they kick on the suspicion that a number was lacking in their own opinion? That's the only change here.No support. We don't need more reasons for people to start kicking people out of groups just because a number was lacking in THEIR own opinion. I know what your reasoning is behind wanting it added, but people without a doubt would use it to just be crap to other players. We've seen it before, we'll see it again.
Assumption -> objective knowledge.
Yes, CD alignment, fight length, and so forth will have effects that will skew these numbers, but anyone who actually uses a parser regularly will already be aware of these dynamics, and adjust their expectation accordingly.
You'll frequently see someone kicked because their enmity, on average when the tank's tabbing between mobs, is a third of the other DPS's despite their having never used an enemy-reducing tool. The means to kick are already there. This just gives more accurate and precise data, so that there's a reduced chance of someone being kicked for the wrong reason.

So long as they continue their "don't ask, don't tell" policy I'm not much fussed either way. Particularly as I /have/ been harassed by people in the past for not putting out enough DPS, with the most poignant example being back when I was playing a SMN and had to drop DPSing Garuda EX in order to hard raise multiple people. All because the group thought a single healer would be acceptable. It was not. This was all back when it was progression content, mind you. Yet because all this person cared to look at was their parser I nearly got kicked from the party for trying to prevent a wipe. (I got the mount though and they immediately left the party. Never been a better feeling.) There's been other incidents in the years since then, though observed rather than actually having to deal with them myself, but it's all left me with an inability to trust in this community to not behave terribly when people aren't performing to 'their' standards. Especially since half the time the people complaining are often the ones doing the least amount of work.

After the Shirogane patch first came out I was a few days late to doing one of the new dungeons. Ended up in there with a healer that hadn't done the dungeon either. Was trying to adjust to SMN changes on top of trying to REMEMBER dungeon mechanics from the video I watched prior to entering. I ended up raising the healer on several occasions along with other party members. The tank got really nasty with me and asked me why I wasn't doing enough DPS cause they were parsing. I legit haven't been in a dungeon since. Very demotivating.

Sounds like you were doing your job and more. If nothing else you were definitely making effort. Don't let that tank or their parsing stop you from doing what you want.After the Shirogane patch first came out I was a few days late to doing one of the new dungeons. Bet that tank uses his parser in Satasha baby too.After the Shirogane patch first came out I was a few days late to doing one of the new dungeons. In this scenario, reporting the person would be the best course of action. The fact they were parsing wasn't the problem, it was how they chose to use that information, which in this case was to attack youAfter the Shirogane patch first came out I was a few days late to doing one of the new dungeons. Only imbeciles use parsers for that. These are the people that should be reported.
Also 9 times out of 10, those types of people have lower numbers overall then everybody else, they're POS players who just want to rustle your jimmies
You don't want to believe people can use parsers for improvement? Fine. But understand that parsing a dummy, and parsing a boss (Especially mechanic heavy fights) are 2 totally different things

You don't need a parser to tell you your dps is in the toilet when you're spending the fight dead or running around panicking. A mod like deadly boss mods helps you with mechanical problems, not a parser. If you told me your dps is low because you're learning your rotation, you'd get the boot. That's something you do on your own time before the raid, not during the raid wasting everyone's time.
