Imho as long as we find it acceptable to rank all jobs based purely on damage they do, we as a community do not deserve an official parse. Now i have been pugging all the content since 2.0 and i have never once hit enrage with a 100% clean run.

How else would you rank players than DPS and HPS in this game and why? Damage mitigation is not very relevant and there's no support to speak of. Of course you must understand that higher rankings require great party performance (you can't rank high on SMN if you need to be raising your team mates), and that the highest of the high ranks are likely to be fed all the buffs and the setups have been built around them. But when you read a parse number in the first place, you can't only look at that one number, but you need to see everything else that happened as well (how much damage was taken by each party member, were there deaths, what was the group DPS (how fast did the boss die), what buffs were received by whom etc.

If you know someone is using parser, you should report him/her since it's forbidden in ToS. Who knows what else 3rd party hacks etc. they might be using.

Using an unofficial parser is common enough so that you can be pretty much guaranteed to have at least 1 person parsing in whatever content you do. It's fairly certain that everyone who has ever done extremes or Savage has at least one parse record up on logs (so far I haven't met an exception). If you would ban all the people parsing, you wouldn't have any raid groups and you'd lose a great part of the PC playerbase. The developers know this and accept this and strongly support the don't ask don't tell policy.

It's true 3rd party programs may include unwanted additional features (such as the currently commonly used parsing program having a mechanic call / timeline feature which I personally consider cheating). But that's only one more reason to support an official program. Because parsing is required as long as SE keeps releasing content with DPS checks.

And so what? There already are "high DPS and kick" and "1 mistake and kick" party finders. Everyone is allowed to start any kind of party finders they want, and everyone is free to join or not to join them as they wish.

Do you honestly think players like that aren't running ACT? They just won't say why they're abruptly kicking you, but they will still do it. In fact, a common tactic for low DPS groups is to disband and re-invite the good players.

It shows you that you can beat up a dummy in a certain time but it doesn't show you if you and your rotation works in an actual fight. So no you are wrong.
