You don't always have to take a definition so seriously and absolute.

We are testing base elements that will show up in 2.0 some of them just ideas that might not even make it (heck in the end of all this, they might take out thinks like retainers)

The game is incomplete
the game is buggy as hell
the game has many features that should have been there at release but are not
hell a lot of the stats still don't work right -.-

all these can be used to describe a game in beta status, so guess what that what I call it.
Again, you are really using the word loosely. If you want to say that feedback from 1.0 is helping contribute to 2.0's development, then yes that is accurate. However, calling it beta is simply not true if you want to get technical.

Also, your list seems invalid, since those criticisms would only go towards the benefit of 1.0. I think stats would be a valid one however.

-Game is complete, it just isn't good. Rather, the original concept was a failure and the new Dev's are adding in content to favor FFXI's style of gameplay while they killed off guildleves being the main form of content.
-How can we contribute to the bugs if 2.0 is a completely new engine/client?
-It is an MMO, new features always come in.

People really underestimate how different 2.0 is going to be in terms of functionality.
