Not quite, I'm paying two subs, one for me one for my bf. We can barely play together (which is the entire reason we play). We play on the same IP address, most of the time one of us will get booted, when whoever gets booted signs in the other gets booted, so on and so forth. We are on a 50 megabit broadband connection. SE says it's my ISP, not likely lol. That's the best cx service I'll get.

i used to multibox too and i never had that issue, so it really may be his IP doing it....

hell, everyone i know who does this has no issues with it, so signs do point to that

Just curious doubt it but maybe the port is same on both PC for FFXIV? But I think that port number in config was for downloading patches if I remember correctly so might be wrong.

Me and wife been playing in same house since alpha and we have no problems; if its ISP weird stuff, don't see why they would want to block one.

out of curiosity who do you go through, im curious if its a major provider or a local one, certain ones have been known to do things like this

So people think we are in a beta phase? For what, an already completed game being scrapped for a better one? The improvements you see are for 1.0 and some new ideas in 1.0 will be carried over to 2.0. Beta is to test a product before it's release, and we are not playing 2.0, we are playing 1.0. If we were in beta testing, it would be test 2.0's engine and client.

We are not beta testing a client that is eventually being dropped completely, we are playing a 100% completed game that is simply being replaced by a superior product. Whatever changes and criticism that is making 1.0 different, some of these new features are not going to make it to 2.0, because all the Dev's are doing in 1.0 is attempting to hold you over till they can get their better game out there. Simply making the time in the game for you right now a bit easier.

many of us do know the term "beta" and been in plenty (real betas that is)

I keep calling it a beta, mainly poking fun at the game, yes I do enjoy playing it right now, but that does not mean I don't ignore the fact that this game is indeed not finished, and is in horrible disarray.

You don't always have to take a definition so seriously and absolute.

We are testing base elements that will show up in 2.0 some of them just ideas that might not even make it (heck in the end of all this, they might take out thinks like retainers)

The game is incomplete
the game is buggy as hell
the game has many features that should have been there at release but are not
hell a lot of the stats still don't work right -.-


all these can be used to describe a game in beta status, so guess what that what I call it.
