About the Werewolf Outfit

I have to honestly say I am really pleased with the costume, although I do have some criticisms.

The Spaces between Pieces:

It would have been nice if all the pieces went together in such a way that everything from below the neck was covered so your skin wasnt showing at all. This is particularly noticeable on female avatars (at least, the females of certain races, like the Female Miqo'te)

The Claws:

Would be great if we could recolor these.

The Body and Leg pieces:

If the legs are called Werewolf Tail why is it that the actual tail is a part of the Chest Piece (Werewolf Body) and not the Legs? It would make far more sense for the tail to be a part of the pants and not just cause of the name of the pants. That said I think there should be a Body piece that does have the tail and another body piece that doesnt have the tail, same for the legs, there can be a pair that has the tail and a pair that doesnt, so as to give people more freedom of customization.

The tail being part of the chest piece made me sad. I was planning to use it for some of my moogle glamours.... which it is now useless for.

The tail is just silly naming on the part of the localisation team. Hopefully it will be adjusted.

The different boot types being genderlocked made me sad. And the thin gaps of flesh between the male pants and boots look terrible unless you happen to have skin a similar colour to a dye. Agree that dye changing the claws would be nice.

It might have something to do with tailed races-since we've had chestpieces before that messed with miqote tails, coding them similar to these older pieces was the easiest way.

Whether it is silly naming or not, the tail should still be part of the leg piece, not the torso piece.

Whether I agree with it or not, my belief is that they wanted to keep the 'unique' tailpiece as something most people would only want as a costume and not as something they would be able to turn into an everyday "new race" look (most people aren't going to want to run around with a 'naked' furred torso, they'd rather have a nice smart top over a tail and pants/skirt). Given that lupin would be the next logical race choice as we already have NPCs in the game, that's probably the reason.

This is 100% speculation, of course.

I wish the tail was on the bottoms precisely because I think that we will probably never get the Lupin or a more inhuman race as playable. People have been asking for Viera as a playable race since 1.0 and they have repeatedly said that their inhuman feet make them difficult to implement. We might get Viera some day but I can't see them adding a completely inhuman race.

Yeah, I really wish my arms weren't so bare in the outfit. How are people supposed to think I'm some terrifying wolf monster when you can SEE it's just some gloves and a shirt just fine!

This is probably the real reason. Chest armor has the ability to effect a player model's current tail, I haven't seen any leg armors capable of doing so.

If the tail was on the leg piece, you'd probably keep your Au Ra's or Miqote's tail with the wolf one, and it'd clip and look awful.

I'm really disappointed in the event rewards. I don't get the hype everyone wants to dress up to a wolf?
