Any update on removal of gil limit for world transfers?

...Or increased a bit more? Like, I'm really itching to transfer to a JP data center for better ping but the 20 million gil limit is preventing me from doing so because I will lose a lot of it. I've been scouting to see what I can buy and resell but it's not looking very good. Also, take note that I am not on a congested world so I still wouldn't be able to bring all of my gil (or get any of the other bonuses) if I chose to transfer to a preferred world.

::EDIT:: I just saw that I can transfer multiple characters from the same world to another for the price of one so that's kinda ok I guess.

I just did a transfer and from my memory the notes say you are limited to 10mil on your character and 5mil per retainer. So with 8 retainers you can transfer 50mil in total. op's 20mil limit is basically 10mil+2 retainers.

Yes, this is what I did for my target worlds but I'm still gonna lose a lot coz the price difference even for high-end items are vastly different. Like, for example, Shinryu's scales costs around 6m - 20m on my current world while it's only 120-150k on my target worlds. Basic mats, crystals and materia are no good too.

It's only from congested to preferred worlds.

Yup, I am currently a phleb who only has the 2 free retainers unfortunately.

How much those allagan coins are being sold on your server? I think those can help you save your gil loss best.

Imo, it's hard to make profit from buying stuffs from NA to sell in JP DC since NA's market price are very inflated.

Well, if you want to leave our server, you're pretty much screwed. We have one of the lowest populations, therefore everything is expensive. You will always have a Gil loss no matter where you go. If Gil matters most to you, stay on Zalera, if Ping is more important, then bite the bullet and start all over with less Gil and rebuild you Gil empire.

My target JP worlds are some of the lower pop ones too, maybe even less than Zalera's current population, so I was a bit surprised of the very big price difference on stuff. But like LunaChild said, it's probably one of those NA vs JP things.

Yeah that sucks. In the end, it is still Gil vs. Ping. Which is more important? Maybe you tell the people here or in the Japanese forum which servers you are interested in and ask them what are some of the high selling items at a high price and base your decision on that feedback. I still think you're going to end up at a net loss, though if you transfer.
