it's bswpayton again my dudes
let me know when you have your clear has nothing to do with me , can or cant being able to do it my dude. Im not whining cause I cant get a shiny weapon from this raid, just simply sayin that the patch is empty as hell, and people are acting like this is actual content this is something that not even .001 people can partake in. This is more about content for me than actually caring about ultimate existing or not this is the new shiny thats different thats new for the game everything else is just part of the repeated pattern.
Meh. I'll clear it when 5.0 is about to drop. I don't have the patience. Looks fun though.
Ultimate has nothing to do with 4.1 being empty. Let hardcore players enjoy something in a catch-up patch for a change (chances are I'll never do Ultimate and I'm fine with that).
I am perfectly fine with the hardcore community having content aimed at them. I've been watching one team in Japan work on it, they just got their first nael kill about 15 minutes ago as of this post. They lasted a good 90 seconds against Bahamut and got very little damage in during that time cause they have no strat for mechanics yet.
Are you talking about 5150 on Tiamat? If so then they've been getting to Bahamut like every fourth pull for the past day.I am perfectly fine with the hardcore community having content aimed at them. Everything I've seen is cool, haven't had a chance to go in with the static yet aside from a random Twin pug. It's cool I guess? Seeing Coil stuff with a bit of meat behind it is nice.
My only complaint is that from what I've seen / played this is one of those fights where the tanks just... Don't do anything. Don't get targeted, don't have a mechanic to do... Just tank swaps. Could be wrong, not a lot of tank PoVs out there aside from Xeno but I'm sorta disappointed. I guess we got all the fun stuff from Neo so I can't complain all that much
I'm also just glad I'm going to have something to chew on during the off patch. I usually don't get to do much aside from grab gear for alt classes, but this should be hard enough that I'm going to be working on it all the way until 4.2... Slim chance I beat it.
One day I'll be the MT mountain I want to be... But that day is not today. (As of Patch 3.2)
To my understanding just in Twintania not tank swapping at the right time is an instant death, and thus 9 times out of 10 insta group wipe. As well what I have heard from Nael she does not only a lot of damage with auto attacks but that + plus things like 5x Bahamut Claws (I think its called) pretty much wrecks you.My only complaint is that from what I've seen / played this is one of those fights where the tanks just... On whether Ultimate should even be a thing since only a small fraction of players will do it: Sweet, keep doing that! The skill gap between players is there, this isn't even a bad thing because there always will be such. Much of the game can already be cleared by a majority of players so long as they have the time. Savage has been a wall but even here some players have found themselves wanting more of a challenge. SE clearly believes they can provide that while still delivering content for everyone else, and I'm all for it.
Honestly I don't think there would be as much complaining if Eureka hadn't been delayed. But it is what it is, and if Eureka ends up being good even more for the better.

And your just very rudeThis isn't even a major patch and here you are whining away just because there's nothing for you. We knew this was coming when it was announced way back.
The major highlight of the 4.1x patch was 4.1 itself with the introduction of Ivalice and Shirogane. Of course this patch is empty as hell, it's a freaking minor patch. This isn't 4.15 or 4.2. What do you expect? Continuation of MSQ and more Ivalice?
Come back when you know how to differentiate between major and minor patches. Until then, you're just a salty whiner in the eyes of most of the players here.
While the title of the series, 'Ultimate', might be new, this really is just another trial with such a high difficulty level that they don't call it savage. It's not mechanically (in terms of how to approach or the loot) different either. In a lot of ways with the collective content of patch 4.1 (.1-.15) it's sort of similar to introducing 2 primals when normally they'd only introduce 1. Personally as someone who can attempt this content but probably will never beat it this is a lot more beneficial to me than say another dungeon. A dungeon is certainly something I can complete but dungeons are rarely interesting content (in part because of design limitations, in part because I prefer 8-man content).
Now whether or not the one dungeon is worth, for example, Rival Wings (which looks fun) or Eureka (I'm suspicious as hell about this) that depends from person to person. If Eureka is good then it might be worth it, if it's not... Well, SE and wonky content go together like PB&J. Honestly if it's fun Rival Wings will be more than worth losing out on a story dungeon.
One day I'll be the MT mountain I want to be... But that day is not today. (As of Patch 3.2)
