Yeah I doubt people on a forum have the authority to determine what is worth making and what is not. SE gets to decide that. They decided they wanted to put this in the game so they did. Nothing more, nothing less. Can we just let the people that are actually enjoying this content have their fun without turning this into a "you stole muh content" argument.

more people craft than would actually clear ultimate savage but ok , I wish they had a jump potion cant stand crafting, All jokes aside numbers dont lie, numbers wil show in time how little this stuff is cleared and maybe SE will decide on their own that its a waste of resources only time will tell.

But isn't that the point of this content in the first place? It is designed so that only a handful of groups can clear it while it's relevant.

The ultimate carrot on the stick in this game is glamour that can be shown off and I don't know anyone who isn't super into one or two of the Bahamut weapons.

I don't care about the stats on this baby, it could have parry retroactively out of spite and I would walk barefoot through the snow for a glimmer of a chance to rub it on my face. If I had a facebook I would be in a relationship with this specific ast mainhand. Spread this baby on a cracker it is a hot dish.

    I love it.

Besides... That's actually kinda the point. Of course, there will be... less than a percent, maybe less than 0.1 percent of the playerbase that will have it cleared. But that's what some people want to hear. And, dumb as it sounds, I'm actually happy this content exists, even though I first cleared V3S last week. This is the proof that you're top tier, and you're one of the best. Just the fact that this exists may bring them new players (former hardcore WoW Players, for example) that will just test it, and be like "that sh*t's impossible to do, I must do it 6 hours a week for 3 months before we even get to the final phase". There are some people that have this extraordinary "dumb" attitude, like there are people that have extraordinary "dumb" attitude toward sports or whatever. They want to do what others can't. They want to try hard, get better as a person and as a group, they want to be the best.

That's not misplaced ambition. Those are people that have a dream, and will try to pursue it as hard as they can. And that's beautiful. Is that a productive dream ? Maybe not, but hey, who are you to judge ?

And, Texa, doesn't matter at all, but I absolutely hate Bahamut's weapons xD Still, wouldn't glamour it for anything, just because of what it means.

Its not really a matter of attitude, or not I think thats a great attitude to have always want to improve always get better. The fact of the matter is when people mention , 4.1 down the line. Oh that was that ultimate fight patch, because thats the only new thing that even came in 4.1 that wasnt gona happen anyway. And for something that under 10k people will even do shouldn't be the highlight of a patch right after an expansion was released.

People are just simply arguing with numbers here the numbers are so small in life majority rules always, so if they where gona bring this out they should of brought out eureka along with it or something that actually most players could take part in instead of makin an instance that maybe a hand full of people would clear. People act like world first players are major rock stars or something like nobody cares its nice but nobody plays the game to watch other people do content.

Honestly speaking I'm fine with them using Ultimate as a template for hardcore content going forward. It's recycling assets so it keeps the actual development costs low and it isn't like it's locking you out of progression gear with Savage now standing as the current midcore content. It's just a nice little something to keep raiders interested in the game, which even though it's not my cup of tea I can very much applaud.

That's okay! I love bright yellow shiny gold and glitter glitter sparkle rainbows. I watch magical girl shows. I think Cure Parfait-

-is cute. My taste is questionable.

Things that are flashy and difficult to obtain are still a big draw in FF XIV even if it's super gaudy for some though. Like the anima lux weapons. Gotta have them "LOOK AT ME!" gears.

In life the majority does NOT ALWAYS rule. I couldn't begin to count the number of places and times in the world where this has not been true and continues to not be true. It also should not always be the rule because there are situations where you don't want the majority making the rules, IE times when you want the most qualified/experienced to make the rules. Also, this is FF 14, a private game not life. The only decision makers here are SE, we're just playing in their game so real life issues really don't apply here.

Eureka was originally planned to come out in 4.1 but it got delayed so your point is moot.

If SE felt not enough people would do this, they wouldn't have made it. The reality is, only SE knows how much of the population does raids and how much even qualify for this. They put it in anyway because they felt it was worthwhile to do so. You're arguing with personal opinion, SE is developing on carefully studied metrics; I think SE has a better perspective on it than you do.

Only the naive will believe the majority always knows what's best for them.
