I might've missed something, but here it is

Scratched Lettering: We departed Lesalia in high spirits, yet it was not long before our mirth turned to misgiving. We found ourselves struggling from the start and sadly obtained nothing of note. We have failed ourselves and you, and I pray our next errand meets with greater success.

Scratched Lettering: Using the crude wooden spoon I was provided, I sip at the thin broth, wondering if it is lentils I taste. It is, of course. Lentil soup is all that I have eaten since arriving in this village more than a month ago (soup being a generous term for the pathetic puddle trying its best to cover the bottom of my equally crude bowl). Would that my hosts had even salt to flavor the lukewarm fare, but war erased any hope of trade caravans making it this far...not that these forsaken villagers have aught to trade. Soon their lot will succumb to hunger, and the desert will reclaim them and any memory of their existence. Such is life in times of peril.

Expected salt about the boss fights. Instead found more salt over one guy spending all of 30 seconds reading lore tidbits in the raid. Well then...

I expected 6 pages of people posting something along the lines of "Ugh, Hashmal, amirite?" and instead got... that.

So as my contribution... Ugh, Hashmal, amirite?

I quit this game because even after about 40-50 trys I couldn't get even close to beat the second boss.

My tip is, don't roll for itens if you want to explore a little, they can't kick you if you don't roll the chests.

I can't believe a threat started to share frustration of the new raid descended into petty squabble about reading a freaking lore tibbit on a wall you have 33% chance of encountering.

You've been dismissed from a number of duties over time according to past threads and posts that you've made. Have you paused to consider that the fault may lie with you rather than other players? Personal experiences may differ, of course, but I've played since 2.0 and the only time I have been kicked from a duty has been due to disconnecting during a storm.

This makes me think the OP wasn't simply reading the text but taking his sweet time. I've seen plenty read those lore tidbits without issue. People have also waited when others got lost. So it does feel like we're missing a bit of context here.

Why don't you just go back through the raid once you have finished? Just cast return and you can run through the whole thing at your own leisure, take in that wonderful sky they painted.

Here's an idea S-E: Allow people time to actually see the burning sword in Hashmal's hand and react accordingly when they're more than halfway from the safe area. Or, at the VERY least, cut that Flesh Wound damage to something that will allow healers to do something about it.
