I log in, roam around town with flag on, sit and wait for the random as hell GM people to pop up, and by the end of the day have gotten little to nothing accomplished. I don't like crafting, I just finished all side quests, Leves are boring, and I refuse to solo.. I want to group with people, yet it seems nearly impossible sometimes

Seriously. I remember leveling up Thief in XI and everyone kept asking me, "Wow, how are you doing that so fast?, it took me forever to find a party on THF!"

Short answer is: I'm pro-active and start my own groups.

I agree with this, but some people are kind of shy in making groups, especially for new players it can be quite daunting.
