Yeah i get you, i really do. It's just to get more variation, even high heels, and for SE to perhaps give the characters ANKLES... not just a *joint* they have now, but also for more feminine and cross gendered clothing you know.<3

As a male who plays a Miqo'te female, I chose to run female as I feel the guys armor mostly looks like a dress. Years later it is not as bad, but I can say it's still ultra conservation. Now that we don't have the ps3 dragging us down, I miss the undershirt and dyeable customization as well. I also think gear choices like Scathach's gear would be awesome. Give us a reason to use the emporer's new glamors. But I'd like a more diversity range to choose from than full armor styled, full dress style, and full on I might as well be in a red light district. I want my toon to be on the edge of cute, but not look like a courtesan. I don't role play, but there has to be a happy medium. I don't want to stop anyone else from going full tilt skimpy armor if they like that, but would like to keep a better range as well.
Thank you so very much for writing Kuro. I do feel you, it's not easy to play another genderd character cause of missing X Y Z items, and i appriciate your feed back! i want this to be equall for everyone, males and females. That's why im trying to reach out to SE, and see if they can actually do something. *nods* and yes the 1.0 stuff was really good and fun aswell! but we'll have to see, Time will tell! <3

I had played a Mitha in XI for nearly a decade out of stat issues. To move forward, I would consider male au'ra, elezen, or Male Miqo'te, but 90% of the gear is solid armor that looks like a dress, or look like I'm wearing an actual dress. Why be a guy If I still have to wear a dress, not that I have anything wrong with those that do but.... I see less than 20 outfits that I would have chosen to wear as a male PC, but as a female I have probably 50 or so outfits I would love to work to get. They really need to up the selection for guys, and expand the looks for ladies. Not everything has to be right away, but would it hurt to make my PC look cute and not something I'd see being associated with the bad element? Completely agree they need to add this back as it does add so much individual expression.

I would love to see more feminine clothing also! Maybe cute dresses, princess type clothing..etc!![]()
Thank you so much for replying. and Yes, i mean there is a LOAD, which is lacking in the terms of *feminine, male, female clothing on FF XIV* there is alot of the SKIMPY... etc... and it's tame, and it just gets lame. Whenever i go to Limsa. or Ul'dah i see often very many players who are in nothing but small clothes, or skimpy outfits... i don't want all that anymore, we really need more feminine, princess like, cute, modern, everyday clothes. Now days, it's skimpy, sexualised, or just ugly full covering of everything that is called *feminine*

Absolutely agree Iromi! *hugs*

I think it's safe to assume most female characters wearing skimpy outfits are being played by males, and adding more outfits isn't likely to change that. More variety never hurts, though.
It's honestly kind of refreshing to me that XIV largely lacks gratuitously sexualized outfits (The only examples that spring to mind being the coatees, BRD AF 1 and DRG AF 1, which expose a lot more skin then the male versions while still being mostly the same), that Yoshi P. even specifically expressed that he doesn't want the game to be known for that aspect. Having played PSO2 for upwards of two years, it was kind of silly how their design process was basically "Design outfit, then remove parts of it for gratuitous fanservice afterward", because tons of otherwise nice-looking outfits suffered from having random skin exposure on them that no one with fashion sense approved of.
Bump! and i couldn't really agree more. I mean honestly... i just wish there were ALOT more variation.. it feels really sad that there is little to no variations, besides Skimp, slooty, or skanky.. :<
