Delta-Patcher

Everquest / Eq2 uses a delta patcher , delete a corrupted file it will just find the hash

fails to match/ 404 File not found?.... it'll go fetch it or file + delta...

mean/average time to replace damaged missing file/s 2-5 mins...

FFXIV see go .... jump in lake and re-install , 13 hours mean time to fix...


Is there a file check in FFXIV???.... less you have the stem edition or a 7zip dump ,

Prepare for 13 hours of shut the F@#$%^ and wait..

FEATURE REQUEST ADD :

add <<FFXIV Health Check>> file.....bin hash sha256/512 fail , downloading/overwriting file ...

file fixed game up problemo over.. less support nags...

if the patch gets laid down on a file badly , I have 14 hours to un fuggle it..

add 1-2 more expansions average player will be down up to 2 days..

yes FFIX needs a file Integrity checker/DELTA patcher ...

Add expansion 3 and 4 in the coming years , games base will be at 30-40 or so gigs ,

the patch times will also grow quite retarded for a full wipe and re-install of all game assets over 1 file that failed to patch.

I had to do a full download including all patches 2 days ago. Total download and install was only about 2hrs 15min.
