    Please add an option to turn off the weather effects.

    As the title states; I'm currently running through Thanalan near Horizon to get some mining done, and the lag is so bad from the constant rain that I can barely even walk forward, let alone choco. The game is hard enough on graphics cards as it is, and there's no reason we shouldn't have this option...

    Also regarding the weather effect on/off, there are no plans to implement on/off feature since there is a plan to have meaning for each weather.

    There is a little icon on the UI that displays the current weather, so their reasoning is no excuse. Lets hope they optimize weather a little better in 2.0. Do you remember how many people complained about GPU heat during the snow effect in cities during the Dec 2010 holiday event? Quite a few.

    FFXI Had both these options for Weather on/off and lower # of ppl displayed.

    For lower graphics cards weather effects can be a performance killer and there should be on / off options for them they say they want the game to cater to all so this is a must really

    Ive never experienced GPU going hot while playing XIV. What kinda pc casing, gpu, CPU cooler etc do people use which has these overheat problems?

    Im using HAF 932 Big tower, 4 x 220mm fans, Asus Radeon HD 6970 with 2 big fans on it, Akasa cpu cooler.

    What a truly horrible suggestion. There already are no gameplay implications for weather making it optional to see is sure way for them to ignore it as a gameplay mechanics for the rest of xivs life


    Keep the weather and make it mean something please.
