Do you need to remove private rooms in FC before relinquishing?

Question. I am working to house swap with an FC and give them my mid house. I plan to use the transfer option myself, which means they would need to relinquish their fc house so I can do so.

My question is, without "kicking members" is there a way for them to relinquish the property while personal fc rooms are there? Or how would this work? Thanks.

I don't believe it's possible to relinquish the estate until all chocobos are removed from the stables and personal rooms are removed (inactive members would have to be kicked). The move feature gets around this, but if you're house swapping with another fc one of you is going to have to start culling members that aren't on.

Ugh.. this would be so annoying that way.

I have the mid, but since I know I have a good deal of stuff in mine, storeroom would be great. Since Im giving them and buying them the Mid size plot, but Ill be taking over their current small house.
