Healers you see in DF are doing so much different?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a player healer have a complete disregard for their own survival. But then I am usually the healer in my dungeons and I have a strong sense of self preservation. :P I've mostly been using the squadron dungeon runs to level low lvl dps jobs I don't really enjoy and am not very good at so as not to impose my badness on actual people in the duty finder. >_>
