Request: Hempen Garb - Racial Unlock

Woah niiiice catch. That all but confirms it to me. They are working on it.

I really hope this is the case, but this is SE...and they've been known to give special treatment to NPCs with gear before (dancers in Ul'dah for example), and they've also mixed & matched various facial features that should not be available on a single face (Yugiri and probably others).

But yeah, fingers crossed they are actually working on it. I would be sooo happy if it gets unlocked.

Honestly, the male ones are all pretty similar anyway between races and there's no reason a male Elezen cannot figure out that he can tie a piece of string around his chest to emulate a male Roegadyn or vice versa. If your character doesn't like it you can roleplay that you're disgusted that a proud male Hyur would wear Elezen underpants to bed (or erm, to town I guess), but I'm reasonably sure that most people don't care and just want access to lots of different glamour items. There's quite a lot of visual diversity between the female Hempen items and none scream 'will only fit this specific race'; they're ordinary crop tops, halter necks and the like. Go for it.

Absolutely, when I was a hyur I only ever wanted the miqo'te hempen camise.

We have our starting racial gear, that should stay locked. But the hempen camise is silly. Besides, if you think they should be locked, just use your own race's camise. No one's forcing you to use the others.

The Hempen Camise is the only thing I miss about being Elezen

Plus I'm all for unlocking them to other races. After all the female Elezen bottoms are already being reused as the Bridemaid's Tights more or less

No they should stay just the way they are. The different races should have unique clothes that identifies them by race. Want to wear their clothes make an alt.

If we're going to get into unique racial characteristics, male Miqo populations should be substantially lower, Au Ra shouldn't be nearly as commonplace and so forth. Why only stop with clothing? Now those restrictions would be silly. So how exactly does clothing present an entire race when we don't even told those standards in real life? Fashion has always blended or been used as inspiration for innovation. Regardless, Miqo aren't wearing their race clothes for cultural reasons but practicality as they ordinate in a tropical region. Said clothing also differs very slightly from Hyur's. Does it really matter at this point?

Yes, please. Seeing the Hyur wearing the Elezen garb makes me hope they'll do it eventually.

I would love to see this as i been waiting and wanting these unlocks to happen one of these patches...they said that they will add them in in a future patch but since march nothing been said or show since which i dono't know if they will just pop up in a big surprise way or what is going on. -_-; i would give so much for these glamour pieces and just thinking of all of the ways of outfits and stuff to go with them just would be so much fun to see and do.
a couple of ideas they could do this:

have a special npc that sales these in a town and just put as their names: Hempen: hyur (of all of the races)
cash shop
market board
grand company seals

just thinking off the top of my head.
