Feedback Regarding GM Zeigunav (And Policy Regarding Blacklist and Novice Network)

[2:59 p.m.][GM]Gm Zeigunav >> ... Usually, I also advise blacklisting these types of players. However, when it comes to the Novice Network, this does not usually help as there are multiple players coming in and out of the NN and moderation of the NN is a necessity. So, as I always advise, please do continue reporting such behavior should they arise again in the NN.
[3:00 p.m.][GM]Gm Zeigunav >> I do know that this might sound to be a tedious process, however we suggest this hoping that multiple reports can be obtained and should the violation be found, stacking account actions will be given and would result in harsher penalties which includes but not limited to longer suspension to the termination of the suspected FFXIV account.

GM Zeigunav continues to be understanding, helpful, fast, efficient, thorough, etc. More importantly, though, his understanding of when blacklist is and is not appropriate is very much appreciated - and unfortunately still needed by many of the other GMs.

And while it's unfortunate that I have need of Zeigunav's ear again so soon, it's good to see them still in top form. More so, a couple other bits that some of his fellow GMs have failed to realize but that I sincerely appreciate that Zeigunav understands:

[GM]Gm Zeigunav >> FINAL FANTASY XIV is a Teen rated game. Because of this, inappropriate language that would be deemed unfit for the rating should not be used at all.
[GM]Gm Zeigunav >> Even though the NN is a player moderated channel, it does not mean that such language should still be allowed.

Don't make me laugh! GMs never fail at once! Never!. So stop EveK, you have to stop blaming at GM.

MSQ uses the derogatory term for a female multiple times. Especially in this last patch. Bit hypocritical to punish players for language when SE sets clear example that it's okay to use such terms.

Did this really need a second thread? I think the best resolve would be for you to just get off the NN. You're obviously too sensitive for it and refuse to accept blacklist / reporting as an option.

I always like to quote their ToS rules at them. Heh, but that's me.

But in truth, I don't go near the NN. Ick.

Honestly, just take a screenshot of the person and chat which you believe violates the ToS or whatnot, set up a petition thing, then Blacklist the person. Encourage other people to do the same. And this has nothing to do with thick skin. Ugh, HATE that response. I've been around a long time, since EQ in 2001, and I've been on the end of very racy and sexual comments towards myself among other things. It has nothing to do with 'thick skin'. It has everything to do with 'breaking rules'.

    Good luck, OP.

You're a mentor, not a moderator. If you're offended by bad grown-up words then put the profanity filter on and blacklist the people who say naughty things. Don't run to the GM every time someone strays from Disney-levels of purity. You're theoretically mature and responsible enough to handle these issues on your own with the tools you have, aren't you?

Also, most importantly, don't assume your standards are the same as everyone else's. Forcing your way onto other people is what leads them to dislike you so much.

So uh, I've got some bad news for you...

Mentors are, in fact, moderators of the novice network.
