    Regarding the Centurio Tiger Mount

    Introduction
    Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the most improbable mount to obtain in the game… The Centurio Tiger! How do we obtain this magnificent beast? You need to kill 3,000 A ranks and 2,000 S ranks. The A ranks are bearable to a certain degree, but the S ranks is where things take a toll.

    Assuming you get every S ranks, and it spawns dead on the 72 hour window opening. I work it out at 207 days. That’s not missing a single hunt. 27 S ranks, ~72hrs each, assuming you are there for every single S rank spawn and that every S rank spawns as soon as its window is open, would take 222 days. Or in hours, 5333 hours. (Ardene Pyrali of Sargatanas for the math)
    *Edit: I assume he excluded The Pale Rider and Agrippa the Mighty due to them almost never spawning on our server.

    Looking at these numbers, it is evident that no human person can actually achieve this within any reasonable timeframe even in the most ideal conditions. I'm not asking for a change because I don't want to put in any effort, I'm asking for a change so that my effort goes towards something that is achievable.
    Here's a list of solutions:

    Solutions
    1) Change the 2,000 S rank kills to 1,000 or even lower and add whatever the change back into A rank kills or even include B rank kills.*1
    2) Lower the respawn timer to one day or something.
    3) Add more S ranks

    *1 Since people are saying people already own the mount, they could easily change the requirement for 'You Got Game" to have "Straight As I" and "Straight Ss I" or "Bring Your A Game IV" and "Bring Your S Game IV".

    Conclusion
    At this point, the Centurio Tiger is the most absurd mount requirement to obtain and I am asking you, as an avid mount collector, to change this requirement to something that is logically achievable or adjust the way S ranks function.

    “They didn’t change Astrope”. I own Astrope, took 2 months with 0 clears. Astrope is possible, this is not. Astrope can be farmed whilst S ranks cannot be farmed because of the time gate. With Astrope you could grind and work really hard if you wanted to, S ranks you have the mercy of the system or by sacrificing your health to obtain a mount.

    Edit 1: For the record, Hunts came out in Patch 2.3 (July 8th, 2014), not 2.0 launch.
    Edit 2: It seems as if people automatically assume that I'm a moocher. Yes, I help find A's and help spawn S's the best I can. But for the hours I spend to /maybe/ get an S rank to spawn, the current rate of progress does not feel worthwhile or reasonable. Although, I still do it.
    Edit 3: Also, the fact that you spend hours trying to spawn an S to no avail, then decide to call it a night to only find out it spawn moments after you sleep is quite disheartening.
    Edit 4: My problem here is that you cannot grind S ranks. I am perfectly fine if you can grind S ranks. I don't mind the "grind" at all if it was grindable. I like grinding in RPG, but I cannot choose how much to grind or when I want to grind like you can with every other mount. The reasonings are due to work, real life, school, etc. With Astrope, you can choose whenever to start grinding. You can even set a number for yourself per day as to how much you want to clear. As for S ranks? You cannot set a fixed number due to how finicky the system is. You can be spending hours trying to spawn multiple S's and come out empty handed. You cannot calculate when you will be getting the Centurio Tiger whereas Astrope, you can easily calculate when. I do not mind killing 2,000 S's. I am asking to make it grindable.
    Edit 5: Changed the word "impossible" to "improbable" because a lot of people seem to be focusing on that one word.

    I agree, the amount of S ranks seems a bit of a insane amount; 1,000 is reasonably insane, but 2,000 is just... I honestly have no words. Another idea, is potentially add more S ranks into all of the zones, like how Heavensward and Stormblood have 2 A ranks per zone.

    I agree, the A ranks are no problem, but S...holy hell.
    Reducing those is the step in the right direction to make thst mount in any ways possible ONE DAY.

    I'm not much of a hunter myself -- I only tend to do B ranks -- but when I saw the requirements for the tiger I didn't think anyone could do that. Lowering the amount of S ranks is definitely a good idea.

    They could also shorten the spawn timers on the older S ranks since most of those fall over in two minutes.

    I know of one person for sure who already has it (and had it as of 4.0 launch upon killing a single A and S rank to flag the achievements).

    I agree that the amount of S ranks in relation to A ranks is silly. I personally have a ratio of 7 A ranks for every S rank kill. I'd rather see the achievement remain as-is at this point, even though I would benefit from it immensely were they to cut the S ranks needed down to, say, 1k.

    I think the S rank kills should stay the same at 2000. Tiger won't be nearly as special at lower kills required. Not to mention, this achievement gets nerfed every expac because more S ranks are added.

    I like to say that this achievement was mostly a retroactive one, to award hunters who have been at it for a while and to encourage people who are close to it, rather than something people should start working towards now.

    That said, having hunted seriously for a while, the 2:3 ratio this achievement demands is truly ridiculous. I'm at over 900 A ranks but just shy of 300 S ranks. Which, if it was a 1:3 ratio, it would've hurt a lot less and came closer to the reality of hunts. If you miss out on an A rank, not only will they be back up within 3 hours or so, but HW and SB areas have two A ranks giving you more chances. Even if you went over the list in a theoretical situation where you found and killed every single A mark, the first ones you killed will likely have respawned by the time you killed the last of them. S ranks in comparison are brutally more punishing. 1:3 ratio would still be horrendously ridiculous due to the nature of the S rank spawning system (3 days or so min spawn time, and then a random timer on top of that, PLUS gated behind RNG...) but it would be a lot more in-line with how the system itself actually operates.

    I'm going to agree changing it from 2000 to lower. Even some of the more dedicated hunters on my server are over halfway but not "Close". It's not like grinding mentor roulette where all you have to do is queue in and complete the dungeon successfully, then requeue again however many times you want in a day, you have to have the fortunate timing of being available (and having the computer power) to make it to the s rank. On a bad streak of luck, you could miss a whole week of s ranks because you just happened to already be in an instance or busy with other obligations. Nobody has the time to camp s ranks or spend hours to spawn day after day, especially with how finicky some of their spawn % chances can be.

    Change spawn timers

    Totally agree with this post. If they can not change the achievement amount, or do not want to, then maybe they should lower the spawn timer to once a day instead of every 3 days. This would reduce the time needed to get this achievement drastically. I am an avid collector in this game as well....our voices should be heard!
