Since I didn't have anywhere to put event furnishings I accumulated over time I used my unused apartment as a sort of storage. Now we have an actual Storeroom so I want to put it all in there, but if I remove the Eggstravagent Interior Wall from my apartment it will disappear... Event items that you cannot get again should be repossessable regardless of what type of furnishing it is.

Agreed 200%. There's a lot of people who like to move stuff in their houses to match the season/events going on, and the fact that a lot of items can't be reclaimed is kind of a huge pain in the arse.

The wallpaper has been this way for years, and since they've added some to the mogstation, I doubt they'll be changing their stance now.

But you have to wait a whole year to get those things, and that doesn't mean they won't sell period since people that missed the event can buy it to get it.
