FFX Lulu's Hair and Clothes for Glamour, Please?

I would super DUPER love to have these as new aesthetics for the game! I've been pining for her outfit and hair to be introduced in the game for the longest time ever since Tidus and Yuna's outfits were made available! Please, could we have this; it would be sooo nice to have a unique hairstyle and outfit like Lulu's introduced in the game!

Edit: Also, could we have FFX Auron's outfit, hairstyle and closed scar eyed added as a new aesthetic as well, please? If the Lulu outfit cannot be made into a duo gendered outfit, then Auron would be a GREAT substitute for the male players would be sadly left out of all the fun if only the female players got a new and wonderous aesthetic.

Also, if both of these ideas are ever accepted, could we have both the Lulu and Auron hair aesthetics be made wearable by both genders, please? It would probably cause so much trouble for both FFXIV community and developers of the game if both of these hairstyles were made genderlocked as well if the clothing becomes so since I'm sure many players regardless of their gender in-game would absoulutely LOVE to have the freedom to wear either Auron or Lulu's hairstyles freely!

This also includes the closed scar eye aesthetic from Auron, as well. As I'm sure many people would love to have a new facial aesthetic that could set their character(s) further apart from the rest! I know personally I love to wear this look with any of my sword based job classes, including my Warrior one as well! ^^

Could you please explain why? Because wouldn't her close just be adjusted to the player character's model like Tidus, Cloud, Yuna, Lightning, Zidane, Firion and Squall's? I can honestly imagine the chest area being a bit of a problem if that's where most of the pain of adjusting the clothing to FFXIV's models comes from.

Oh, of course! I was actually thinking the same thing when I came up with the thought of wanting Lulu's outfit in-game! I LOVED Auron in FFX and would seriously have a heart attack out of joy if not only his hairstyle and clothes were added to the game for males at least, if not females, too, but also his single closed scarred eye! I could REALLY use that scarred eye for my own Miqo'te, to be honest since she has a scar over her's. ^^

I think it's due to the rendering of the belts – FFXIV is gorgeous but has terrible textures. I remember reading an interview years ago about the issues they had with the dress in X – and it is pretty much just a block in that game.
Lulu is my fave FF character though and it would be great to see it in some form.

Lulu's stuff is gorgeous, I'd definitely like to see it in game. Especially her hair. I imagine they would have to cheat and texture the belts onto a plain skirt with a few cut-out areas to keep the polygon count manageable but it could still work.

I would take Auron's gear as a substitute if we have to do a gender divide (Seymour's could be fun too). Unisex hairs, at least, would be good though for both of them.

Yeah, Nomura designed the belts to be challenging to render. That's fine in a single player game, but ff xiv has limits to how many polys can be in used in each outfit and real time combat. Not to mention Lulu doesn't really do anything very action-y in ff x and wasn't designed for stuff like dragoon or monk animations.

I have the FFX model viewer and I can explain how complicated Lulu's model was compared to the other playable characters in her own game in order to make her dress work. This is based off everyone's cutscene PS2 models.


Tidus: 217 bones 9749 polys
Yuna: 225 bones 9432 polys
Wakka: 218 bones 9177 polys
Auron: 243 bones 9484 polys
Kimahri: 232 bones 9035 polys
Rikku: 244 bones 9365 polys
Seymour: 238 bones 8266 polys
Lulu: 260 bones 9603 polys

Now, you can see here that Lulu has by far the most bones (animation rigging) and the second most polys after Tidus. She probably would have beat Tidus in both if she had feet or legs below the mid thigh

which she lacks because they would otherwise clip her belt skirt which as you can see here was it's own removed object from the rest of the dress on the modeling and rigging to help hide that they are just animating that section of the dress when she walks to convey her movement.

Here is a look at the belts too with the polys highlighted. Idk how to make gifs or I would, but the belts actually clip themselves all over the place just when she plain walks.

Her design is really interesting and SE's animators did a amazing job on her back in 2001. But this kind of design wouldn't fit well into FF XIV's design limitations and the need to make outfits at least partway work for a very diverse animation range for characters that have legs below the mid thigh.
