How do i not lose items as i get a new apartment?

so was gonna trade in my old lavender beds apartment for a fancy new one in kurogane but i ran into an issue - unlike plots apartments seek have no ‘relocate’ option on them and if i move without figuring out how to save my items, i would lose my massive cover-a-countertop-enough-that-it-looks-like-it-IS-the-countertop collection of 8 or 9 use bowls of the lovely DoH/DoL table food from last year’s all saints wake event which in my infinite wisdom i decided to eat in a manner that they would have an even number of uses rather than just eating 1 and moving on. it on mogstation but that level of a collection easily outdoes the cost of the stormblood expansion and i ain’t made of money irl so i need a in game solution to my issue.

as for what i’ve tried so far- put stew into my lab beds apartment storage [which was successful] went to vacate apartment and got a fancy message saying i’d lose items and they would refund nothing but mentioned nothing about storage whatsoever [i panicked at this and refused to select confirm fearing for the safety of my items] tried to take the stew out in FC personal chambers and FC main area [neither pulled the stew up as being in storage] searched for vendor for stew itself [it that season again right now and the currency i bought it from last year’s vendor with and duty i farmed that currency from both returned so i thought MAYBE i could just farm it all over again but as far as i can make out no vendor is selling it. i checked the alluring peddler who is only selling this year’s stuff and Recompense Officer who only has this year’s werewolf outfit and last year’s Vampire’s Vest for me]

I don’t have an apartment, so I can’t guarantee any accuracy to this, but can you move the items to storage, and then, after relocating, remove them from storage? I’m not sure if that would work, to be honest, but there really isn’t another alternative, from what I can see.

SE should honestly just remove the “will be destroyed upon removal” restriction from food crafts. They removed it from several others; might as well remove it from all items. It’s arbitrary.

you mean the apartment storage? i heard it gets destroyed along with the apartment is that not the case?

if you mean my inventort only untouched meals can be put back in your inventory. use them even once and that no longer is an option

Umm... Don't the foods not disappear anymore? I just put some food in my inventory and back onto my table, it wasn't destroyed.

oh! you said ‘relocate’ there is no relocate for apartments only things oh plots

they can’t be put in inventory if used even once

if i hadn’t used them at all this would just be an inventory space issue sadly it’s not so simple
