You can still float the stages with the same glitches used to place/float other items. You do need to start it with using another item like the Rivera Open-Shelf Bookcase before you switch to Stage Panel+Riviera Wall Shelf or Wooden Loft.
For me, that's a lot faster (takes 5-10 minutes tops) than using the old wall glitch (which could take me up to an hour to find the perfect angle and spot to get the placement to take). It also allows you to have more of the stage accessible if you want instead of being limited to exactly half of the stage since the wall glitch required snapping the anchor point flush with the wall.
The stage panel + Riveria wall shelf is one of the best new glitch move done, thanks! It actually made my life a lot more easier. You can still float the stages with the same glitches used to place/float other items. Truly, the day SE allows us to place any floor item on lofts, is the day a revolution in FFXIV house design happens.
I've done my share of glitching things into creative places but it's such a slog and easy to inadvertently ruin do to snapping. Being able to place floor items on lofts would alleviate much of that and would virtually eliminate the need for glitching. Even a novice house builder would be able to do some of the creative impressive things those who can handle the glitch process can currently do.
I really hope that SE realizes this and just flags lofts to take floor items in addition to table top items.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
Does anyone know what was used to design the loft and the display in the middle? It looks pretty cool.

The loft area is a combination of Flooring Mats plus Mahogany Aqueducts (dyed either Snow White or Pure White). The center table display uses Imitation Long Windows but can't tell what else is being used.Does anyone know what was used to design the loft and the display in the middle? It looks pretty cool.

It looks like the base of the interior display are the little white square partitions... name escapes me off hand, and possibly a low floated loft for the wood.
