The glitch for floating stages,etc. was fixed in 4.2. However, there is now another glitch introduced in 4.2 that does something similar (sometimes). I havn't experimented with it much as I don't want to mess up my current room.

i managed to get my lalafellin material supplier to stand on the lalafellin step stool with the round table. (and other things like great gubal floor lamp)

Omg... this is awesome but also frustrating because I can't get it to work with another thing I want to do. Oh well

Has anyone managed to put the Head of the Dreadwyrm on a table or pedestal? Whenever I try to put it on the Oriental Round Table it gets on the floor instead. I tried with a Riviera Round Table and it is ON the table when previewing, but then I get the "Unable to place item" error...

I think Ashiee made a video and posted it on reddit (if not it looked like her, so sorry!). The table glitch initially shows the item on the floor and then you have to exit/enter the house for it to relocate to the correct position. I think that's where I was getting caught up. Been having some fun spending 50+ attemps trying to place a troupe stage up high... finally got it but it's aligned slightly to one side. I hate having to do this so much just to float something.

Lalafell stands on step stool trick:


Place the oriental round table and stand on the edge of it.


Place the permit you like from the storage and use the subcommand to place it.


Choose the race and gender.


Place the step stool under the NPC. Leave housing menu. The NPC stands on the ground in the step stool but all you have to do is leaving your house and enter again.


The Lala stands on the step stool now.

edit: I wasn't aware of the video, i made this guide and forgot to post it online. There it is now, that's how I did. I'm sorry, i wanted to post this earlier ^^

I also found out that private small houses have a invisible door in the back of the ground floor, you can glitch a troup stage there and you can choose the height of it.




And @Myon88: The medium house has a window on this site. You can glitch the stage panel there. Is it possible to get 3 troupe stages up, and same height and width now?
For example, to make loft from front to back of S house.
I cannot seem to do so.

Lofts can only be placed above permanent house fixtures, like above doors windows, the tops of railings, and certain pillars, so you'd nee a wall with all the windows lined up. For example, you could stretch a loft across the back of an FC room or apartment very easily.
