For all these months I have been tenaciously hanging on to the dream that someday a jump feature might be added. I would take breaks between patches and log in right after the following patch, hoping that I might hit my space bar and leap into the sky with joy. I see clearly now that these were empty promises.

Honestly, I've never understood the obsession some players have with jumping. Yes, it's moderately cool (although watching hordes of players bounding like jack rabbits across the terrain can get a bit irritating), but I've just never seen it as making or breaking a game.
