Thank you very much for all the feedback... I have noticed that the majority of answers are from healers, so in this case it makes sense to cycle with up and down...
In my case, I wanna cover a party member, which needs to be close to me and is a random target, it can be a healer/tank/dps, you never know, so u cant just macro to go back to tank for example...
Anyway thank you very much for the answers... I hope Square Enix make their click filter usable one day...

It could be also possible to place /targetpc macro to R3, L3 or even your hotbars. Targetpc targets the closest player character which would mimic "just face clicking" in a way. Not sure how user-friendly that would be though.

Click filter settings itself seem to be completely useless for controllers but I could be wrong about that. It doesn't change anything noticable atleast.
    Thank you very much !!

It helps to change your filters for what can be targeted when your weapon is drawn too.

Additionally, you can make macros that utilize the <tt> command. Example:

    /micon "cure"
    /ac "cure" <t>
    /ac "cure" <tt>

What this does is if <t> isn't valid, then <tt> will target your target's target. Handy when you want to dps without taking your focus off your tank, or if a dps is getting chased, you can target the mob and heal its target, etc.
